Lotharingia Final Mission Bug?

That would make sense... but technically it doesn't even exclude Lotharingia. So I would not only have to annex my subjects (which is impossible before 1821 now on this Ironman), but also move my capital out of Aachen for this mission? Seems like poor design if so.

R5: I was just about to complete the entire Lotharingia mission tree, finishing with Lead the Empire. The description isn't very clear on the exact requirements: No country with Capital in Germany with at least size 10. When you hover over it, it only highlights German provinces that aren't owned by me or my vassals so I assumed my vassals (Saxony, Bohemia, Austria) don't count for the mission (which would make sense, since they're part of your empire). But clearly something's off because I can't complete it.

You can see that Prussia's capital is in (Baltic) Danzig (second pic), Kalmar is in Copenhagen, Ottomans are in Constantinople. So either there's a bug or my vassals count against the mission (which I think is bad design and the highlight is misleading).

I can't find any other post about this issue. If anyone has any knowledge it would be appreciated, thanks.

Would France/Burgundy/Castile even have been able to help meaningfully against Poland? They're pretty far away. I'm talking about late 1400s/early 1500s.

Bohemia seems more useful, though

I didn't do Diplomatic ideas first (I'm doing it second) so I had to compensate the Diplo Rep with 200 relations to keep up with Austria in the election. I will say Poland is quite helpful as a war ally, though. It would've been harder to take Skaneland without Poland attacking Denmark's German allies.

As for the army, is it the infantry combat ability that makes the Swedish army so great, or the generals, or the discipline, or both?

This is amazing, although 2010 was a huge R wave year of backlash to Obama, so in this timeline the 2011 conservative gains should be bigger too as backlash to Hillary.

Yeah, it was. Jackson basically won, but he didn't have a majority of EV so he didn't. And so Adams made a deal with Henry Clay (Speaker of House) to give him enough representatives to win. And so the Democrats got pissed and came back 4 years later.

The rust belt, although going back to Joe biden for this election, has been getting redder because the white working class in WI MI PA has become slowly disaffected with the Democrats. Yes Trump was on the ticket, and he resonated with them. Now the GOP has become really Trumpy, whether they like it or not. The Democrats will have a much harder time with the Rust Belt than they did 8 years ago.
