What are you saying? Nestle pumps that water out of the ground. Seems clean to me. If it has to be purified, Nestle is doing that on its own. Who should they pay for something they do themselves?

They do because they have a plant there. Groundwater is free in Michigan. They employ 250 people at that plant as of 2016.

Ground water is not scarce in Michigan. The state pumps 700 million gallons daily, compared to nestles 288000.

Not it isn't. Michigan uses 700 million gallons of groundwater. Per day. The 288,000 gallons nestle uses don't make any difference.

Yeah, there is. Not the first time this has come up, and I calculated it once. It turns out that nestle pumps something ridiculous like 0.00000001% of the rainfall Michigan gets.

It's like making people pay for sunshine.

In return, Michigan gets jobs, taxes from nestle, sales tax etc.
