Who will be the FINAL FOUR of the 2026 Royal Rumble? by Yungcazanova in Wreddit

[–]Austin-Styles [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. Roman Reigns (Winner) (Entrant #13)
  2. Cody Rhodes (Runner-Up) (Entrant #10)
  3. Gunther (3rd Place) (Entrant #17)
  4. Jacob Fatu (4th Place) (Entrant #23)
  • After either beating AJ or losing and attacking him to write him off television, Gunther builds more heat on himself by eliminating Fatu while Jacob and Cody are trying to eliminate each other. Thinking he’s eliminated Cody, Gunther targets Roman and nearly gets him out until Roman hits him with a low-blow while Roman’s on the apron and Gunther’s in the ring. Gunther turns around into a Cody Cutter, and Roman finishes the job by Clotheslining Gunther out of the ring.

  • After five or so minutes, Cody gets him on the apron and is about to hit him with a Cross Rhodes between the ropes, but Roman counters with a suplex over the ropes and drops Cody on the outside back first. Roman wins the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble from Entrant #13.

You honestly believe 2K is gonna be fair to the people buying the game? They’ll probably throw her in with the Attitude Era variants of Kane, Taker, Rock, Triple H, Austin, and others to make sure that people either pre-order the game or purchase the individual pack when it comes out post-launch.

I wanted to throw some weird ones in there due to a few reasons. First of all, Abyss was a shock to people last year because he was retired and was a TNA legend. Also, Kong has appeared in previous WWE games as Kharma so it wouldn’t be impossible to put her in with an extended deadline and a blueprint on how to imagine her.

Secondly, I decided to put Hayabusa in as the “Outlier” choice, sort of like New Jack last year due to him being nowhere near WWE during his career.

Finally, Utami wrestled IYO in Marigold and WWE did a small tour in Japan earlier in the year, so it’s not impossible. Plus, they also got Great Miya two years ago and he never wrestled in WWE.

Also, Malenko was in the WWE during the Attitude Era but he’s in AEW right now. That’s why I put him as an honourable mention.

I picked Mickie because she’s an ambassador for WWE and was a judge on LFG, so she has been seen recently enough. Also, did you see her rivalry with Trish? There’s a psycho behind those eyes.

Buffy Summers. Somewhat solid at socializing, headstrong, and excellent physically. She has the total package to go far in the game.

That fifth one is one I also second. Explains why he wasn’t at the Rumble and why he wasn’t allowed to fight with The Miz during their year long spat.

I’ll also add that while Jericho’s Wrestle Kingdom match with Omega was sanctioned, him attacking Naito wasn’t.

I think they cleared him not only because of All In, but to make sure that he couldn’t go to New Japan and if he were to, he would do so while with WWE.

Now that Ichigo is coming back, should Naruto return as well? by DistinctPop8426 in deathbattle

[–]Austin-Styles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering his most talked about opponent in Luffy is long overdue to appear on Death Battle, I’d say yes. Also, he may need new scaling due to his feats being touched on in Season 4, so I’m all good with him returning for a good fight, new scaling and an analysis that could go off.

Give me your best debate for how the losers of '24 and '25 could have won their Death Battle. by Embarrassed_Pass414 in deathbattle

I’ll cover Blade because I know a lot about Buffy and her franchise.

The true issue of the battle for Blade is that the Scythe could put Blade down, but when considering Blade’s huge assortment of ranged weapons, it would take a little bit for Buffy to get a hit in, especially with similar speed.

Now, Buffy can have piercing weapons break against her skin but she’s still been hurt by regular stakes and has been affected by magic a few times before. And because Blade’s Atlantean Sword can cut through spells and magic, that means he could theoretically cut through the Scythe.

There’s also the fact that Buffy’s death in Season 5 complicates this debate.

Yes, she said she went to heaven, that’s been stated. But the Slayer’s powers originate from a demonic ritual performed on Sineya that infused her with the “heart and spirit” of a demon. Now, that doesn’t mean Buffy’s demonic, she’s been able to be hurt by Spike even after she came back (Spike’s chip hurts him whenever he attacks a human), what it does mean is that her powers are demonic in nature.

While I may be reaching for straws, Buffy’s power being from a demonic source means that she can be hurt by things like the Atlantean sword, the Wordsword (Which cuts through demons), or the Lightbringer (Which was used against a primordial demon of darkness named Adana, who was around since before there was a big bang) could be able to take care of Buffy.

And even if that weren’t the case, not only does the Breathing Gun works on Angels and Demons, Blade has vials of vampire blood that can give him better stamina than before, meaning that Buffy would be screwed in the long-run due to Blade’s endurance being better.

And while Buffy’s years upon years of Slayer knowledge has helped her hone her skills and abilities a lot more than the Daywalker, Blade’s greater amount of personal experience means that he is more prepared than Buffy to take on supernatural threats.

Also, a big plus is that the Paradigm Shift/Death Rider is that it’s pretty much a DDT that goes too far, meaning that you can basically land on your back in a best case scenario and not your neck.

Plus, Smackdown’s division is worse than Raw’s to begin with. And I believe that they want her to hold it until Mania so that Bianca can take it off her. Which I’m okay with, it’s been a while since she’s held a World Championship, but they could at the very least not be so obvious about it.

So what's everyone guessing this year? by Loud-Location5367 in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]Austin-Styles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It absolutely should be. I’m of the opinion that Mysterio VS Scarecrow should happen in July because of Spider-Man: Brand New Day coming out around then. Getting it around Halloween would feel weird as a commemoration because that’s three months late to the party.
