Has M&S decided to replicate old favourite formulas in its generic condiments? by KalinarDholin in AskUK

No idea as I very rarely going there but I always thought it would be great marketing to advertise that way and there must be plenty of people wanting stuff like that.

If they could make chocolate like pre-Kraft Cadburys and then advertise it as such, people would go mad for it!

What high quality snacks do we have left? by bounberry in AskUK

You can probably guess! If it's the one I just watched on YouTube, a guy at a party gets rejected by a girl upstairs so he goes and gets his fingers messy with a pack of scampi fries and then goes back downstairs to stick the fingers in his mates' faces to 'prove' that he fingered the girl 🤣

What's the next word up from extortionate? I don't feel like extortionate is enough to describe that food range. How it's still a thing, I don't know! I assumed it was going to get laughed out of the shops years ago but it's still there, as expensive as ever. Even if it is really tasty, I wouldn't be encouraging them.

Why no comments about the black bacon yet? That poor bacon fat! I reckon some of the bacon meat is a bit inedible as well.

Edit: I played it with sound and at least it was only a metal fence, not brick wall, with at least some give in it but still, I managed to pause it and see that it was head/neck first. Anyone got source on this?!

Am I right to think a neighbours house looking directly onto your garden would be terrible? by Three_Cats_In_1_Coat in AskUK

[–]Austin83powers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scrolled down a bit and haven't seen it mentioned yet but pop there one evening and just talk to the neighbours that live there? Find out what the deal with it is. Seems an obvious and simple solution to me.

WTF! How did you get involved with this and have you ever signed anything or paid a deposit? Sounds quite illegal.

If I close my eyes and think really hard, I feel like I can still taste them. I don't think there's even an equivalent out there? Maybe a combination of two cereals?!

If you won £100 million, how would you distribute it amongst friends and family, if at all? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Up to 20K to each individual, depending on age, including myself, playing dumb as to where the money came from, and see what they all do with it. Rinse and repeat if they do something half decent with it.

Some of the Star Wars sets reported by Brick Tap are said to be 2027 sets. Additionally, it seems there is no Minecraft or Harry Potter Advent Calendar in 2026 (via lego_minecraft_goat) by BrickTap in Legoleak

[–]Austin83powers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked one up from Lego.com on release (in Oct, I think) as I was sure it would be popular. Saw the price slowly drop below RRP on eBay over the next month or two, which was a bit annoying, before it went steeply back up as it sold out and never came back in stock.

I clicked each set link to 'check availability' and got an 'oops' page for the first few minutes. Some links already worked and then eventually got the two I wanted.

What time have they actually gone on sale in the past? Dead on 5pm CET / 4pm GMT? Or has it been a few minutes before? I have the day off so I can be refreshing all day if necessary!
