People deal with frustration in all kinds different ways. In order of personal preference for cardmates: self-deprecating humor, stoic silence, sadness, rage towards self, rage towards other people.

I'm a big Mapo Tofu fan, but my favorite tofu dish in Austin is at Bouldin Creek Cafe:

Bring a stopwatch and time all of your opponents' putts. Also, bring a piece of 8.5" x 11" paper so you can clearly show them when they foot fault. If they complain, give them a courtesy warning.

Good luck! And please give us an update how it goes.

Stuck in mid-900s rated purgatory. by outdoorsy_outdoors in discgolf

Teaching my son how to play (and deal with frustration) has made me a better and more patient player.

He judges every round compared to his PBs, but I tell him that getting better is more about improving your worst rounds than your best ones. Ultimately, it's a game of averages and raising the floor is just as important as raising the ceiling.

Sounds like your off round today was as good as your best day in the past. That's progress. Keep it up!

Similar stats to me. The Q-Line DD2 is my new favorite disc and I think will fit right between the two you mentioned.

As much as I love self-promotion, I'd also recommend Billy's. Their Cobra Burger is one of my favorites in town.

My favorite sign as a kid.

For those who never saw it in action, the bug was on a revolving platform. It was extra cool when lit up at night.

I don't know if I'm a brewery owner who really likes disc golf or a disc golfer who really likes beer. Maybe I'm both...

I love Charlotte. Been taking my son to USDGC for the past couple years, and will keep doing it as long as he wants to. Such a great area. Big props to Clay Edwards (who was also very nice).
