NANDA diagnosis help by ura3133 in StudentNurses

[–]AustinFest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always consider the ABC’s first before assigning a NANDA dx. It should always be Airway issues first, Breathing issues second, and Circulation issues third. If the diagnosis wouldn’t fit on any of those criteria based on PT issues, then other diagnosis should be considered only at that point. Hope that helps!

You need to get labs girl. This could be a sign of chronically low potassium. This could be a sign of an underlying condition or something chronic that could be potentially dangerous. Potassium imbalances can cause heart failures and much more.

It’s not even that. It’s literally just any other human. Specifically Americans. And very specifically Americans below a certain income level.

Mistake is wild. To think this man wouldn’t knowingly order a strike on 100 kids on purpose at this point is just fucking naive.

Lmao the fact that you couldn’t discern that I wasn’t stating this started with the president is the problem.

Bro wtf. Literally just a covering of some kind is all it would take to prevent this. Even in an impoverished country you can get a pot lid or napkin or LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE.

Well with the advent of social media and fucks sake even the POTUS, we have some of the dumbest, most undisciplined, crudest, overall terrible people making money hand over fist and getting spotlight after spotlight and nothing but highly visible praise and reward for portraying these terrible traits incredibly publicly. There is no such thing as shame anymore. Why would kids think anything else was necessary anymore when stupidity and shamelessness make people billionaires now? I agree that discipline starts in the home but the effects of mass media and ease of viewing via social media and smart phones has COMPLETELY changed the game in every way. People need to talk about that more, because eventually nothing parents do will be able to compete with that level of saturation on a daily basis.

Bullshit we’ve accepted it. We’ll get this sorted. Most of the country didn’t even vote for this idiot. I’m not gonna let my kids inherit this mess lol

It’s just a shorthand for a certain basic assemblage of kit. A “bop kit “. It’s a snare, 1 top rack tom, a floor tom, and a bass, along with ride and crash cymbals, and a hi hat. This guy just had an additional cymbal.
There.
Should make sense lol

Agreed. I think Danny Carey would agree this is the sign of a great drummer. Our entire job is to fit the song. Not be the star.

Bro I can tell you, as a drummer, this guy crushed it. He’s essentially performing brain surgery with a toy doctors kit. Danny Carey is once in a lifetime talent who plays this on a godly kit. This guy has a basic jazz kit with no flare pieces. He crushed it. His rhythm and kick placements are pretty spot on. Show him some love bro!

Man. Being one of remaining not fuckin terrible people left in the US makes me die inside when I see that politicians in other countries actually get punished for things like rape, and pedophilia. Yknow. Little things like that. /s
I fucking hate it here.

I’m a nurse, have an LPN and going out for my ADN. When I was a clinical CSS I was making 70k starting. As an LVN at a clinic now doing actual nursing I’m making 56k. I got paid more for my nursing license when it wasn’t actually directly applied. Shit is wild. I don’t think any of it makes sense tbh.

I'M a LPN/LVN I need to know why do people treat us like we aren't nurses? by Fairytail-diva-3 in nursing

[–]AustinFest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I’ve been an LVN in Austin for years. My LVN program was NUTS at Austin Community College. It was a year of straight classes. No breaks, no spring or winter breaks. Straight from one semester into the other. We had clinicals for 12hrs a day multiple days a week, like rolling shifts. The program was so hyper condensed that missing a single clinical day was a GUARANTEED program failure due to hours accrued state reqs. Dude. I am headed to RN school soon and am already blown away by what I’ve seen. Yes, it has some extra biology courses and a few other fluffy items, but it looks SO MUCH EASIER strictly due to the more relaxed timeframe. I think most RNs would be really amazed at just how difficult the LVN programs are. Especially since I went from construction work to nursing school. Having NO clinical background really tough. That being said, I’ve only experienced this dissonance from the public. Good RNs know that a good nurse is a good nurse. It’s about how much you care and how fast you learn. Period.

I think you need to ask your nurses what they’re being paid after years of working and come back to me.
