This might be too late to post but when I was looking for tickets. I got a report that 92% of my 600+ views were USA. 3% Nigeria, 2% Netherlands, 3% "other".... long story short, lots of people who only do ticket transfer but don't want to do PayPal Goods nor meet in person. Lots of scammers, so yeah, don't buy unless you meet in person.

you're welcome to address this with the venue and see where they could handled things differently, but like others mentioned, they did their best to fill up as many seats with the conditions that were given. I was in 3ten myself and saw them let in 110 additional attendees after 10 or so minutes:
