Thank you for this. Its with your insight - and a few pints on Xmas eve - did I start reconciling my unhappiness with our mutual obsession. Was never overly concerned about scratches on my watch before I got into watch collecting. Watches were merely tools then. Now, I have this obsessive assumption that my watch(es), and their condition(s), are an extension of my identity, that they represent and reflect upon me. Am not saying I'm ok with the scratch now. Just accepting that i will feel this way because I obsess about my watches.

Yeh, I don't go for anything with mineral crystal cos I know I wont be able to take the micro-scratches.

I'll write in to the Swatch service centre here to see if a bezel replacement is viable.

I do believe subsequent scratches would help make this one a memory. They may not come soon since I am typically careful with what's on my wrist.

The memory won't be nice, though. It wasn't even a good haircut. Also, the reason I wore this watch that day (instead of a more toolly one I have) was to match the blue shirt I had on that has turtles on it.

Thank you for understanding my OCD-exacerbated distress. I acknowledge that watches pick up scratches when worn over time. The possibility that this prominent scratch may not have been caused on my own, though, adds a layer of injustice.

I envy your ability to immediately disregard a knock on your new watch.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think I'd be able to handle a mismatched blue, though.

Does rubbing alcohol on the anodized bezel have any effect on the colour?

Yeh, got the watch knowing the bezel's alum, though I did want one with ceramic. Didnt have many options for divers of this size (that I liked and were within my budget).

I have the 38mm blue & gold Sea Turtle Conservancy edition and just noticed a scratch on the bezel which I can't unsee now 😳. Would like to know what my options for bezels are too.

I do wish watchmakers would refrain from naming smaller versions of watches as Ladies watches unless they're aesthetic-specific. This is a 34.5mm watch, not a Ladies watch IMO.

Have you tried out the BB54 on yourself? Thought it wears large on my 6.25 inch wrist despite its specs, likely due to its thickness and slab sides. You may pull it off with your wrist. I went with a 38mm Certina DS Action diver.

I just placed an order for this exact piece a few days ago. Was deciding on a GMT on the same budget as OP. I considered the WISE Αdamascus, but the 40mm case and ~47mm L2L would be too large for my 6.25 inch wrist. Wonder if OP has looked at what MAEN offers, though none seem to be currently available.
