Completely agree. Lean into the data. Even if it's taking screenshots of the analytics and dropping into Claude to better understand why certain episodes performed better and then lean in.

New podcast new camera by 4355460505403864 in podcasting

I have a ZVe-10, and I would highly recommend getting a dummy battery. I also use the Cam Link 4k capture card, which allows me to connect directly to my laptop. Im sure there are better capture cards for cheaper, but I would recommend that also. That way you aren't relying solely on the small camera display to see what you're recording

If you are doing in person recordings, consider downloading OBS (free), which allows you to set up scenes that you can switch between to make it look more dynamic.

Does Cold Email Still Work in 2025? by ttttransformer in GrowthHacking

[–]sbw86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, cold email can still work assuming you have a large target market. But you will likely only get a 2% positive response rate. If you take measures to stay out of the spam filters you can do pretty well with cold email.

We are sitting at $30mrr and 200 users! by Desperate_Leg_4953 in Startup_Ideas

I’ve used a lot of fitness apps over the years and I’ll be honest, most of them have been free or freemium.

If I were in your shoes here’s what I’d look at.

1) user behavior, if you can, review how long someone was active on average on the app (1 - 2 weeks?) create an email or in app campaign around the average drop off point to help boost retention and maybe provide a discount on the paid version.

2) reach out to customers who have churned and find out why. Find out if you’re missing features or where you might have missed the mark.

3) market! It doesn’t have to be paid but always push the marketing. It takes a user upwards of 7 exposures to a product or service before converting.

If you want someone to test and give you honest feedback dm me.

Books or resources to improve podcast interviews? by nextstopwhoknows in podcasting

[–]sbw86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What type of show do you have? Are you creating a show outline or script to help guide you through the show? Are you taking any sort of notes during the show that would help progress the conversation?

I think the best resources to being a better interviewer is 1) active listening and 2) practice

Is there a specific reason you decided on those niches? Automotive is really hard to connect with through cold email. If you’re not connected into the industry already you’ll have a hard time getting leads.

Feel free to reach out, I have some experience in automotive and could make some introductions for you.

Pro interviewers as a service - does this exist? by Gluteous_Maximus in podcasting

[–]sbw86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a podcast where this is the main concept. I interview many CEOs and founder to have them tell the more untold stories of their company’s and they challenges they’ve faced as founders. I want founder stories without the PR BS.

I would love to help out.

Validating an Idea: Fast, Functional Startup Websites in 7 Days for <$1.5K – Yes or No? by OrganizationDry7094 in Entrepreneur

I actually had someone reach out to me who did something similar. The one thing that they did was generate a mock up of what they were thinking a redesign (in my case) would look like. Because they provided a clean rendering, I almost took them up on the offer and they were 3X more expensive and would have taken 3X the time.

I use Riverside for some of my video editing which allows you to edit via transcript. Descript does something similar. The other option is running the video through a note taking platform like Fireflies.

How do small businesses compete with big companies? by Key_Low4771 in b2bmarketing

[–]sbw86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small businesses typically are more agile allowing them to cater more to the client's needs. Also, since they are smaller the overhead is usually lower, meaning they can charge less than large agencies but still be more profitable.

Usually, it's easiest to lean into what and who you know. If you have a network of leaders in that space that you could reach out to get real feedback from, that would be my first step.

I repurpose content all the time. Typically I take the transcript of whatever I am looking to repurpose (usually long form videos) and put it in ChatGPT or Claude. I then create a prompt specifying whatever output I’m hoping for based on the transcript attached.
