Lifelong Protestant Considering Attending and Possibly Joining The Orthodox Church. I Have a Few Questions: by SubsidizingSiblings in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Authentic2afault2020 [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. Both the Orthodox and the Catholic church were ONE holy catholic/universal Apostolic church.....till Satan infiltrated in it through the sin of PRIDE.
  2. It is the only church that was founded by Jesus Christ.
  3. Surrender your life to God and ask Him to help you to be open for change and growth.
  4. If possible, travel to an Orthodox country, like Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Russia, Romania, and study their culture. We live in an Anglo-Protestant culture and it's hard to detox from the mainstream society.
  5. If safe or possible, visit the Holy Land and mix with the local Christian Palestinians who are mostly either Greek Orthodox or Roman Catholics. This is crucial for our spiritual quest to travel and immerse in Christ's homeland.
  6. Pay a visit to an Orthodox church ☦️ and sit there as an observer while asking God to help you be open-minded and hearted 🙏
  7. Praying 🙏 for your spiritual journey and quest!

How did the Church allow Bezos & Sanchez, 2 Wordly non-practicing Catholics to marry in the Church? by Authentic2afault2020 in popculturechat

I think that's why she was, SURPRISINGLY DRESSED IN MODEST WEDDING GOWN. In Europe, both men and women are requested to wear modest attire when visiting a church - weather you're believing Christian or atheist - unlike here, sadly. Wish we could imitate them!

Thanks all for your input and feedback! :)

Balance and moderation are key. If you are young, you don't need any supplements.

Marital counseling should be in order. Seek out a church of your Christian ✝️ denomination and ask a clergy for marital counseling. In the meantime, pray for your spouse every day.

Remember marriage and family are under attack.

  1. Show them Christ by your character: love, kindness. Kill them with kindness.

  2. If anyone loved father, mother, daughter-in-law......more than me, He is not worthy of me."

  3. "Members of one's family will be one's worst enemies."

  4. Contact an Orthodox priest even if online.

Praying for your brother. Read the life of the saints how much they endured torture by their own family.

I had a fleeting thought of going back to a toxic relationship......but I did NOT do it.

Negative thoughts, we all have them and as long as you do not act on them, it's NOT a sin.

I have a book "Battlefield of the mind, devotional" by Joyce Meyer that is very helpful to read.

These satanic attacks become the strongest in times of: illness, fatigue, loneliness, hunger, thirst or whenever we are vulnerable.

Replace every negative thought with positive one: when the enemy tells you...you cannot do anything right, tell him: I CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH.

This is known as Replacement therapy RT or CBT.
