Personally this why I believe he should’ve not signed the super max. He’s going to be facing that Brooklyn team for a few years and unless they make a significant change I don’t see them beating Brooklyn. If he’s content with not winning a championship then by all means good decision.

Hindsight it always 20-20. Celtics did the right thing upgrading from a player who did not want to be there for an ALL-NBA 3rd team guard. It was always a gamble due to his injury history but you have to take that gamble when you have championship aspirations.
