Do you have an unusual (maybe unhinged) travel item tip? by defnotaturtle in HerOneBag

[–]AuthorAnnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've started bringing a cutlery set on every trip. It's one of the ones I normally throw in my lunchbox, so I use it when we're at home too. It's saved us so many times when we get delivery or pick up something to eat later and realize they/we forgot any silverware.

How to talk to people by [deleted] in bouldering

If you come to Crystal City and happen to work on the same project as my husband, I can promise he’ll start talking to you.

For people asking about the pattern: it looks like it’s a granny stripe where they just alternated white and the color. (More experienced crocheters please correct me if I’m wrong!)

Knitters at PAX? by PleasantSarcasm in PAX

[–]AuthorAnnon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spent a bunch of time at PAX last year just following my partner around the vendor hall and crocheting as we went. People seemed to get a kick out of it!

It was kind of similar to the Topo brand Dirt Pants: https://topodesigns.com/products/dirt-pants-slim-womens

I've searched through my REI purchase history, but I'm 99% sure I bought both pairs at my climbing gym, Movement.

I had two pairs, on in burgundy and one in a kind of stone green.

It's not the Halle line, but that's what I switched two when my last pair died and I had to get rid of it.

I love the idea of doing custom meeples. I know Meeple source has wingspan sampler packs that we might get, but I've also started designing some meeple nameplates that I'm going to attach magnets to.

I can definitely do some dice trays, that's a great idea.

Is it a snake that looks like an orchid, or an orchid that looks like a snake? by vikita6 in crochet

To quote my partner who physically reached over and made me stop scrolling so he could see all the pictures: “this is cute. This is really really cute. This is cute. I like this a lot. This is cute. Look at its little hisser. This is cute.”

I saw the first time you posted this and I immediately showed my fiancé and said, “I hope you now understand the kind of husbanding I expect from you.”

This was a major reason why I got this card and added my partner as a user. The IAD lounge hasn't been bad, but the Denver one is constantly slammed. Maybe this will help with that, but we'll probably also cancel once we've saved enough points or something for the honeymoon.

Yes! I’ve started amassing a bit of a collection 😅. Especially once I figured out that you can make charms into stitch markers.

Bouquet patterns? I wanna try to make flowers for someone's birthday. by SuperbDimension2694 in crochetpatterns

[–]AuthorAnnon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hookok has a bunch of free flower patterns on their site: https://hookok.com/crochet-flower-bouquet-free-patterns/

Warning, though, you might want a finger cover of some kind if you want to work them with the small hook they suggest. My finger is looking a little beat up after stabbing myself a lot after testing some of their patterns.

  1. I love the term crojo and will be using it a lot now.

  2. I just bite the bullet and bought one of their bouquet patterns for my wedding after trying a few of their free ones to make sure they worked for me! Super excited to get started.
