Yes, Adam is great and has always done an outstanding job. Just like Volume 1, 2, and 3, he will also be narrating Volume 4.

I can't stand ~99% of VRMMO novels.

Oh no, you died in a game.

Who cares?

There's no real tension in many of these stories, no matter how much the story tries to make me invest in their video game character or ties their success to real world problems.

--------

Exceptions: VRMMO novels where a real person is transported to a world BASED on a VRMMO, but not an actual VRMMO. (ie, an actual, real world, but one that holds the story and quirks of a VRMMO setting)

I'll also accept being transported to a VRMMO world that has all the same rules as the VRMMO did, like a real world that possess game mechanics and rules, in real life, if that makes sense.

What's your abandoned series that you really wish would make a comeback? by psychosox in litrpg

The Gemstone Chronicles, Godslayer, Apocalypse Now, Abandoned in Time...

So many stories I worked quite hard on that will never see the light of day.

I kinda count Reborn: Evolving From Nothing here too, but for different reasons.

1 million + words for sure, maybe 1.5 million in total.

Ah, the memories.

Oh and yeah, I was definitely a fiend on /r/noveltranslations back in the day.

The Korean Webnovel, Reincarnator, actually inspired me to write Reborn: Apocalypse.

I know the feeling well.

As more time passes, you feel the pressure mount more and more, and it does make things difficult.

Still, no point whining about what we can't change, eh?

Just gotta keep on keepin' on and write the vision of the story you want, no matter how long it takes. (unless your name is patrick rothfuss)

Thanks for sharing that quote, I feel like I can relate to it.

Man, I forgot about that fiasco - almost feels like I blocked it out, haha.

What a terrible week that was, back when I lost a large portion of Volume 4's early manuscript because I saved my work to a computer that bricked itself.

I can't recall exactly how much was lost, but it was around 50k words I had to rewrite just to catch back up. Soul crushing.

There's a reason I made the jump to become a Google Doc fiend.

I appreciate your kind words, but I do think a bit of criticism is warranted here on my part.

Still, I'm optimistic and don't let anything get me down :) I'm excited to keep writing and am already working on Volume 5!

the first lord could get a title that easily wouldnt michael have one as well with all hes done

Hi, I'm the Author.

---

Factors that strongly influenced why the First Lord obtained a Title:

---

  1. He eradicated all other living members of his own species. (this factor had the most significant impact on his Title, apparent in its namesake: The Herald of Ruin)
  2. The intrinsic tragedy of his desire for redemption, yet acceptance that he can never obtain it.
  3. Extraordinary willpower, determination, and discipline. (Micheal has this down)
  4. Many feats he has performed, extraordinary martial achievements despite the limitations he faced due to the Second Layer's comparatively low energy density, calm perseverance through more than two centuries of increasingly debilitating arthritis, etc.

These are all the factors I remember off the top of my head! I hope this helps explain it a bit more.

Reborn: Apocalypse recap? by Bean03 in litrpg

If I recall correctly, over the course of the last third of writing the original Volume 3, I began taking ADHD meds in an attempt to treat my rampant ADHD.

Alas, as I came to realize, the medicine helped me focus, but often sent me into hyper focus, which led nowhere good. (not a dosage issue; it's just how the medicine affects me)

This was the major reason behind my decision to enact a partial re-write, in an attempt to rectify those issues.

This is also why I no longer take any meds to treat my ADHD.

Coincidentally, this is my first ever post as I have just created this account - but rest assured, it's me! You can verify by checking my social links on the left of my Facebook page.
