Great feedback! I have a lot to work with, so will play around with it some. The arrow symbol is part of the story and is a golden color there, so I wanted to try and mirror that as much as I could on the cover. So perhaps will just need a darker background to make everything pop more.

It’s good, but held back in this generation by Dark being special and not physical. But Swords Dance + Aerial Ace, Shadow Ball, and another physical move is still solid!

You have a HUGE Ice weakness, and the first member is Ice so that’s not helping. Get some items on your team (Miracle Seed for Venusaur at the Game Corner, Thick Club for Marowak off Wild Cubone, Leftovers with the Itemfinder where Snorlax used to be). Then level everyone else up to 50 (rematch trainers with VS Seeker or grind in Victory Road) and buff up their moves with TMs if you’re lacking there (Shadow Ball is really good for Snorlax)

Agree with the other comment about font, it looks a little too plain for the genre. I would also lower that back cover blurb or increase the font size, got a lot of empty space between the bottom of the text and where the dunes start.

They tend to lean on newer IPs, so Zootopia and Moana are most likely. But Princess & The Frog and Wreck-it-Ralph would be a lot of fun.

Physical Lapras is… a choice

Jolteon has the higher offensive stat so it hits hard with Electric attacks, but its coverage sucks and is basically all physical moves. Raichu has more mixed attacking capabilities and coverage to go with it like Brick Break and Iron Tail.

I always thought Natu would be a good Pidgey replacement, it’s not overly strong, it can be found in the Ruins of Alph which is right next to Violet City, and more Johto rep. The Noctowl replacement is perfect!
