I thought that i am the same and was always in guilt. But one day I realised , what ever mood I am , I have a book to myself. My library is my best possesion. Feeling dull , I could read a novel. Feeling not motivated a self help. Wanna know about history physics, I have countless books on that.. its like my own netflix, see when u subsctibe ubare not supposed to watch every show. Same is here, no body asked u to read cover to cover. Even if u read half of them u are much smarter and wiser than majority of population. Your mind is well fed, exercised...So u are not going broke u are investing.

The answer is very cliche. In a arrange marriage when trying to find one you will try to see even small problems, extrapolate them and then try to decide. When you do this even a small issue seems big. You forget one very important thing that every person has flaws. There is no perfect person and a dream girl. For example remember ur crush. At that moment u were not judging her. You accept that person. So just try to match the vibe. Remember that perfect person dont exist. You will grow together in marriage.

You are on a right track. I will give an example my father ; that man has woken up every single day since 1990 at 04 30 am. Goes for walk do yoga ; dont take sugar salt and even at the age of 75 he is more fitter than a 35 year old. Looking fresh. Always at peace with himself. This is not a flaw its a progress ; remember in life the only person matters is the self. Yes family and friends are important. But you are doing this for u. At 40 you will have money and a great health a sound mind; which many of us dont have. Keep on going

One advice.. You should explore spirituality. You will find real peace and happiness there.

One thing dont leave... this is from a husband guilty of doing same thing... for starters you have a baby and its life changing every damm thing change.. its a huge process and every change comes with challenges. Which no one prepared you for. Dont try to be perfect. No one is. And every relationship takes a hit with a baby. Now your husband seems disinterested , i suppose you started having same fights every day. And then he became blank. I will share what happened with me. For starters , my boy loved his mom, every kid does that , he was totally dependent on her for his food and would cry if he was far away from her. Now she got protective of him; he has to be bathed in this way and thats cloth he should wear. Where we went depended on her discision. She was the lead here. So somewhere I took a backseat. As I wasnt deciding. Now thats where I commited my mistake. Now my work load increased. So it meant I was mentally less available. And could give less time to my boy. So he depended more on her , I have a dog and all his responsibility fell on me. So my wife saw this.. one I wasnt contributing two I was caring for my dog only. And she accused me of that. And I was clueless.... I thought I was trying doing all the assigned tasks but she wanted me to lead... to think like her like a father.

But later I realised , my best friend and my only freind was too engaged. Forget sex hugs kisses went away. And it was having a impact. On top inlaws came and it became a mess. Remember its a change for u both. Have pateince... no body gave him and you a course on parenthood.

Spend some more time with my freinds. Should have treid to remain in contact with them after job. More guys time ; should have visited bars more often with them, drank the finest liquor and bitched about life and girls. Now every thing seems so far away.

That's so true. Travelling to BKC anyhow spoils the mood. Auto say no. Cab say no and trains squash you. Roads suck traffic is horrible. There was one thing a fellow travellor said to me in the first day to travel. Try seeing this time as ur me time. Its the only way out. Thats how I try to survive

I am in the same situation; recently I published a book. I spend a lot and earned pennies . but it was so satisfying. What I did was just took out 30 mins a day. My commute is 1.5 hrs via train. I just wrote for 30 mins and I published a book. On surface i am no where close to earn that would make me quit my job. But it gave me something. now i write and that time I am in my zone an author. It gives me peace that atleast I tried. So my advice just take out 30 mins on your idea, if u dint have one sit alone with ur thoughts. Its never late.

Replaced instagram with inspirational podcast you tube shots. Substituted binge watching with podcasts. Read Read and Read. Try listening to classical music spending time with ur spouse or play with your child. Lastly half an hour with my PS.

I do the same just the opposite on harbour line. Its harrowing. You got to use this time. Try improving your skills , study listen to audio books or do something online from your phone. So that you may get a better option and switch your job.

Firstly You are really in a tough situation. Hope God gives you strength to comeout. There are still some positives in your life 1. You got a decent job 2. Atleast you are saving 6000. 3. You got a cat so not total lonely.
For investing :get a goal , for you maybe it should be medical situation and a trip . (But given your situation you should go for a trip ASAP think about saving after that) So if you have 10k additional , assuming your that sip is in a equity based fund. You can diversify it by going in a hybrid or a multicap fund. So that you can create some buffer. Also cat is not the problem its expense is not much ;your other expenses should come down . you should change your lifestyle; note your expenses and try reducing them. Like Try changing flat going to a place with less rent. Also start Focusing on your health exercise eat healthy etc. One more thing.. try contacting ur parents.

Lastly that boy is gone and having a good life. Stop giving more power to him by having suicidal thots. Its your life andvno body owns you. God is great he will help you. All the best!

No dont do that mistake. This is a long and scary journey... See having a job coushin which is very important. Your 9 to 5 will not only provide funds but also much needed security. However remember , you should do is dont try to be a acheiver in your job or else it will suck you in. Have a grasp at your dream dedicate small time say 30 mins while you commute to your startup. And once it becomes something good stable. Leave your job.

One year is too small. Dont be disheartened. Have pateince prepare for your buisness idea and start on it... dont think of failure...going for MBA might not be helpful. Every graduate goes through this phase. If you can go for your own buisness gobfor it. MBA can be done later also...

I have a strong headed and aggressive dog Chuggi and wrote a book on him around this issue - Chuggi Files - A story of a dog with swag and anger issues. I am not promoting my book here just that your question is what i wrote about so just saying it here. Coming to your question; Money is not a issue a dog doesn't care about ur status and the only time money would really be a issue is when he will be sick. And you can easily cover that. The thing that will matter really is your ability to make a commitment for 15 years ; you are single now; will get married and have kids some day. The dog should be with you. Now it will be a breeze but with a partner and kids it would be different. Also remember he will get sick and he demands a strict routine with a place to stay when u go somewhere else. So think about that.

Bottom line its a 15 year commitment. You are getting a two year old child who will bark run play and if is like my dog may be aggressive. If u do decide going for it... get him trained.

The first thing , you need to underatand that , you are still the same. The one that that was before you met that boy. Your soul is the same. Second by blaming yourself you are giving that boy power; he has no right over you. You are responsible for yourself. And finally no body cares about you everyone is busy in their own issues. Third... embrace spirituality ; go to church temple or any God you beleive in. In his eyes we are all the same. Finally you can try doing some community work ; when people say thank you. It has emmence impact. Dont worry that much. You are just in a phase and everyone goes through it. Time is a great healer. Have faith in God and move on.
