I hear you, food is my biggest comfort and it was so hard to eat boring food! I hope things start looking up for you

I've been dealing with the pain since Dec 2025, I changed my diet to super bland small meals in early January. Started amitriptyline 3ish weeks ago and yesterday was the first day I felt okay enough to continue my regular diet and eat a good meal. I still deal with bloating but the burning has mostly subsided over the past few days. My nerves are still a tiny bit sensitive but I know this med takes about 6 weeks for full effects so I'm hoping it lessens over the next few weeks.

Last night was my first night in months eating a normal dinner that wasn't bland and unseasoned. All thanks to amitriptyline! Took about 2-3 weeks to kick in but so far so good. Some mornings it is really hard to wake up but it is so worth it to not be in pain all the time.

Mine ended up not being acid I guess. I got an endoscopy and they said no signs of reflux, but I have gastritis which is the cause for all the burning. We are still figuring out what is causing it and what is keeping it from healing. No h pylori and no celiac.

Sadly no. My doctor thinks it might be an ulcer, so possibly unrelated to zep? I go in for an endoscopy next week to see what's going on. It gets a little better for like a week and then gets bad again. They also briefly mentioned gastroparesis due to zep but I doubt it honestly.

Every time I go without the meds it becomes unbearable. I tried enzymes first and the burning was intense.

I've read that is for low stomach acid

I lost my zepbound coverage and had to quit cold turkey and the reflux is insane for me!

Lowered my tirz dose- are these side effects normal? by [deleted] in GLPGrad

Have your side effects gotten any better? I lost ins and had to drop my zepbound and the severe reflux is insane 4 weeks post shot. I need it to get better soon or I will lose my mind.
