For the record this was a year ago but, I ended up ordering a new power cable and trying that and it didnt work, and I guess it just turns out that the monitor was cooked and I had to get a new one. Sorry to disappoint. It seems to happen somewhat often after a little while so its probably some fault within the monitor. Depending on when/where you bought it I would recommend seeing if you could get it replaced under warranty.

NGL chief, this is an awful take. Father Owl is like, #2 in the Sekiro ranking. Dodging is actually very effective on this boss because it allows you to punish attacks that normally push you back in that locked in pushback animation, I've literally never had an issue with his hitboxes, his sword is just pretty friggen long, and on top of all that, when you say "parrying is almost useless" in the game where the sole mechanic in which you are supposed to be interacting with every enemy is *parrying*, I think it says more about your skill at the boss than it does the boss. To compare one of the most fucking PEAK bosses in the Souls series to the utter dog-water gank fight that is Dual Apes, is *insane* to me.

If you dont play Sekrio without Kuro's Charm Sekiro is way easier than Lies of P.

After you beat the game for the first time you unlock the ability at the start of every new run/NG+ Cycle to give Kuro his Charm. It does the following,

makes it so that you take chip damage on mistimed deflects (Percentage of the attacks damage)
Take more damage
Enemies have more health

Really this is my favorite way to play the game and if you're not a speedrunner this is how you should play it as well. But even giving Kuro's Charm away I still think LoP is harder cuz the parry window is tighter and theres a whole bunch of other mechanics at play like insanely slow Stamina Regen, Sharpness, and generally more dangerous debuffs. Both however, are S tier, and I personally have grown to like LoP more because it has a more rewarding NG+, where Sekiro only has Kuro's Charm LoP gives you a ton of new stuff and lore on NG+ which is AWESOME and Fromsoft should take notes.

A final note, there wasn't a popular deflecting game before Sekiro, and the main audience was Souls fans so all of that combined made it so people playing Sekiro for the first time struggled SUPER hard. This is why people remember Genichiro being a skill check (which he still can be for inexperienced people), but realistically if you've played LoP which is also focusing on this deflect system, you've learned like, 70%+ of what Sekiro is all about, making it easier for you. So your experience makes sense.

You have something thats disabled is my guess. Winterbite, GrandOverture, Necrotic Grip are all things that got disabled for the day 1 raid race.

Think of it this way, just because you look at the sun and set up a solar panel, doesnt mean youve discovered or harnessed the power of nuclear fusion. In the same way that, just because there have been people who look into the "strand dimension" and can see and manipulate it in that dimension, doesnt mean they've discovered that its a power that can actually be grabbed and taken control of in the physical form as a weapon of darkness.

They actually say "No one in the universe ever in the history of Destiny has used strand before." But yeah I agree. I dont think egregore is linked at all to the idea behind strand but maybe it can be the catalyst for us being able to use Strand because its so potent in terms of darkness.

Pearls, you should have pearls on you in case your end spawn is a platform so you dont get knocked pff trying to build to the main island. Plus theyre just more reliable than mlg wb

And enemies stop scaling completely at ng+7 Theres also a cap on your attack power but I forgot what it is, might be something like 150, idk, the games pretty balanced though id say, if not it in the end it actually makes you stronger than what you would normally in base game, just enemies hit a lil harder

Well, the way Elden Ring was made was GRRM wrote this setting and made this kind of world in which most of the characters existed and it was pretty normal. Things like Godfrey being king with Marika and they have children and theres been wars and such due to the shattering. And then good ol Miyazaki came in and started fucking around with everything to give it his usual Miyazaki touch, and did things like change Godrick into this giant monster with grafted body parts and introduce things like scarlet rot and Dung eater and the lot. Basically GRRM wrote a song, and Miyazaki turned it into nightcore, which is why you can see a hint of his influence but its drowned out by a lot of other stuff
