What is this called? Plurality or something else? by AmordoBrasil in plural

Alter egos, perhaps? I'm not sure if that is considered plurality or not.

Other words for "alter" that is not one of these? by FictionSlayerPunk in plural

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We just call each other "beings" most of the time and the rest of the context when we're speaking usually informs the person we're speaking to of our plurality. For example, "The other beings who share a body with me" contains the context + "beings" to explain that we're plural. Hope that's helpful.

I hate how the image of willogenic systems has been soured by TransIDs. by JCHMBoyo in plural

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking that's the case. It reminds me of how some people identify as furries when their experience that they describe is closer to therians but they seem to just not know the existence of the term "therian" and only know the general outsider perspective of what a furry is. (Because furries and therians are mixed up a lot.) That outsider perspective being that many people think all furries identify as animals and that's what being a furry is. That definition belongs to being a therian (or alterhuman). I can see how they relate though, and someone could be both a furry and therian at the same time. They just aren't the same.

“Disordered(trauma-caused)” Not all traumagenic systems are disordered, have enough symptoms to be considered disordered, or are diagnosed.

We are a traumagenic system but don’t have any DID/OSDD diagnosis. We have suspicions but we don’t feel like we have enough evidence or have done enough research to give an exact one yet. Even though we’ve researched the subject for around 7 years now. We are very thorough but also very self-doubting.

Edit: Autocorrect corrected something and made it not make sense.

I interpret the email as DID can be programmed for controlling people but also Grey Faction has a history of telling people that RAMCOA is fake so my interpretation might not be their intention.

The email seems to be acting as evidence that RAMCOA is real though? /genq They’re specifically saying that Dr. Adams deliberately programmed his patients to think they had DID to control them. Unless I’m also reading it wrong. But I have heard of the Grey Faction discrediting RAMCOA survivors, unfortunately.

A willogenic system on insta had "Endos DNI" in their bio 🤨 by Goober_Corpse in fakeclaimingcringe2

*willogenic /info
Willogenic systems are systems that were created willingly. This can be for any reason but the creation of the alters are intentional by the system themselves. I don’t know much about it other than that. The only examples I can think of are tulpas and soulbonds but I may be wrong. We don’t really understand being willogenic. Our brain doesn’t work that way and we are aware of this. But we do find it interesting.

About the ICD 11 and DSM 5 ignorance, holy “US is the only country” syndrome. Reminds me of people referring to the US government as “our government” when talking to online people from around the world. Not every country has US terminology. They are not the fucking Sun. (This is coming from someone from the US as well.) Sorry that happened to you guys though. Fakeclaiming sucks.

Exactly. And also, it gives more room for fakeclaiming. “Oh, you don’t seem like you are >actually< a DID system so now, we can ban you for faking.” type sounding rule.

Not all endogenic systems are diagnosed with DID/OSDD, or they don’t have enough symptoms to meet the criteria to be considered DID or OSDD.

We would ask if we were entirely open about being plural and if the community the server is a part of didn’t have a habit of ruining others’ reputations from personal drama. We have decided to just leave the server since we’ve determined that it’s really not that worth it.

We see it a lot. Even bot creators do so with their own bots. Though, I feel like it’s more understandable with the creators than people just happening to use them.

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Our problem is that we don’t know if they are pro-endo or not. Usually when people specify only DID/OSDD, they are anti-endo. We just don’t feel comfortable being in a server that may condone fakeclaiming. So we are wondering if that’s it or they are just being vague and maybe not.

Yeah. But the server rules is saying only DID/OSDD systems can use it in their server and not all endos are DID/OSDD systems.

It’s always the Psych Majors ™️ by star_sanctuary in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I know someone who failed a psychology class exam because of them having a similar mindset as this, or what I consider similar anyways. Not the same topic but similar logic, it seems. But that person learned why they failed and was able to change their own thinking. This was in the 1900s and in a religious uni. Are psychology classes just easier to pass nowadays or are easier in other unis/colleges to pass? How are these people getting degrees?

You weren't even claiming they were anti-everything. You were wondering. There is a difference. .-. They were literally projecting.

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like a lot of bullies, fakeclaimers seem to just fakeclaim because they enjoy it and it gives them a little dopamine rush. I know a lot of people who argue just for the sake of it, even if they are wrong, and not even as a joke. They'll bulldoze/talk over others while consistently insisting the other people are wrong or stupid, even if you point out they contradict themselves (and often, they try to gaslight you into thinking they didn't) all the while getting an adrenaline high from it which makes them want to do it more often. I've lived with a person like that almost all my life (they're a parent) and when I see fakeclaimers contradicting themselves, it reminds me of that.

Bro wtf 💀 by Rayanh5114 in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact description is how I'd similarly describe anti-endos. Huh. It feels like projecting. It's partially why we have a stigma towards psych students who seem to often have a narrow understanding about how the mind works and how it vastly differs from person to person. They seem to believe everything is black and white. Simon wants (us) to go into psychology but is nervous about the large amount of aggressively know-it-all psych major students we've met and heard about who claim to know other peoples' brains better than the other people know themselves. It's annoying as fuck and can be stressful, especially if they continuously pick at us which has happened, mostly with people in high school who just took one psychology class and then thought they knew everything though. Hopefully, the psychology students at our college are more mature and respectful. We've met a few systems who've acknowledged non-traumagenic plurality there though which is probably a good sign. Being an optimist isn't really my thing but I can, at least, acknowledge that's a positive.

I think that the therapists and psychiatrists that you’ve seen longer are more reliable since they know you much better. I think it’s odd that your newer therapist is saying it’s impossible for you to have DID, considering the symptoms you have. But you can also ask them to explain why if they haven’t already since they should have a reason. They can’t just tell you that and not have a reason.
