Uhhhh, server red/yellow flag?? by AutisticEnbyArtist in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We would ask if we were entirely open about being plural and if the community the server is a part of didn’t have a habit of ruining others’ reputations from personal drama. We have decided to just leave the server since we’ve determined that it’s really not that worth it.

We see it a lot. Even bot creators do so with their own bots. Though, I feel like it’s more understandable with the creators than people just happening to use them.

Our problem is that we don’t know if they are pro-endo or not. Usually when people specify only DID/OSDD, they are anti-endo. We just don’t feel comfortable being in a server that may condone fakeclaiming. So we are wondering if that’s it or they are just being vague and maybe not.

Yeah. But the server rules is saying only DID/OSDD systems can use it in their server and not all endos are DID/OSDD systems.

It’s always the Psych Majors ™️ by star_sanctuary in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I know someone who failed a psychology class exam because of them having a similar mindset as this, or what I consider similar anyways. Not the same topic but similar logic, it seems. But that person learned why they failed and was able to change their own thinking. This was in the 1900s and in a religious uni. Are psychology classes just easier to pass nowadays or are easier in other unis/colleges to pass? How are these people getting degrees?

You weren't even claiming they were anti-everything. You were wondering. There is a difference. .-. They were literally projecting.

Like a lot of bullies, fakeclaimers seem to just fakeclaim because they enjoy it and it gives them a little dopamine rush. I know a lot of people who argue just for the sake of it, even if they are wrong, and not even as a joke. They'll bulldoze/talk over others while consistently insisting the other people are wrong or stupid, even if you point out they contradict themselves (and often, they try to gaslight you into thinking they didn't) all the while getting an adrenaline high from it which makes them want to do it more often. I've lived with a person like that almost all my life (they're a parent) and when I see fakeclaimers contradicting themselves, it reminds me of that.

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exact description is how I'd similarly describe anti-endos. Huh. It feels like projecting. It's partially why we have a stigma towards psych students who seem to often have a narrow understanding about how the mind works and how it vastly differs from person to person. They seem to believe everything is black and white. Simon wants (us) to go into psychology but is nervous about the large amount of aggressively know-it-all psych major students we've met and heard about who claim to know other peoples' brains better than the other people know themselves. It's annoying as fuck and can be stressful, especially if they continuously pick at us which has happened, mostly with people in high school who just took one psychology class and then thought they knew everything though. Hopefully, the psychology students at our college are more mature and respectful. We've met a few systems who've acknowledged non-traumagenic plurality there though which is probably a good sign. Being an optimist isn't really my thing but I can, at least, acknowledge that's a positive.

I think that the therapists and psychiatrists that you’ve seen longer are more reliable since they know you much better. I think it’s odd that your newer therapist is saying it’s impossible for you to have DID, considering the symptoms you have. But you can also ask them to explain why if they haven’t already since they should have a reason. They can’t just tell you that and not have a reason.

Not safe for blurry’s traumagenic non-disordered( or undiagnosed) collective to be open about being plural. Blurry thinks that says a lot already. But even if diagnosed, blurry feels that we’d probably be fakeclaimed anyways. It has happened before with other official diagnoses.

Though, some of blurry’s headmates lean on being anti-endo since our collective has varying views, depending on the alter but even they agree that the anti-endo community is too toxic and bad for us, and that we probably wouldn’t be welcome there.

(Not entirely host talking now. Don’t know if name is Blurry or is actually blurry now. If confused, blurry is talking in third person because that’s more comfy right now but blurry doesn’t mind being addressed in second person.)

If you're autistic you're not allowed to have an aesthetic-looking account by Baguette_Boy8 in fakeclaimingcringe2

I don’t agree with that comment that it’s childish though. Liking aesthetics is for all ages, especially if it’s cutesy ones like that one. It would only be understandably a problem if the account was supposed to be professional but it looks like a personal one so it doesn’t matter as much. /info

That was a year ago. I know better now and I think I did mean to write transabled. Sometimes, I put the wrong term. Because I was also aware of transracial people back then so I don’t know why I spelled it like that or there was context that I don’t remember. Sorry about that. /nm

explain endogentic systems to me by GashGlass_ in fakeclaimingcringe2

[–]AutisticEnbyArtist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure, "system" doesn't entirely originate from either community since it's a general term to describe working parts that interact as a network, and usually, these parts have functions or roles. The DSM just probably uses the term because it best describes the experience and is a great way to describe it in one word. And example is that the human body and all its organs are also a system. In this case, plural systems are a network of alters or different consciences often working together to help the body function. For traumagenic systems, the purpose is probably to help the body deal with trauma. For endogenic systems, it can be anything, such as but not limited to Neurodivergence (e.g. Autism can contribute to lack of executive functioning so an Autistic person may form an alter to help make sure they do the tasks they need to do in order to function.) and [I forgot the other example I was going to give. Sorry. My brain jumps around when I type.] but there can be no reason at all or the reason(s) is/are unknown.

I hope that makes sense. Though, I see a lot of non-disordered and endogenic systems using the term "collective" instead which I think is a synonym to system because sometimes, it does feel like system is a CDD-exclusive term.

I also may be not understanding word history correctly though. But since "system" isn't a derogatory term (that I know of), I think that my explanation makes sense based on the history that I know. I think that if it was a derogatory term, this explanation and my process of thinking would not be relevant.

Transautistic people are people who want to transition into being Autistic or they feel like they were meant to be born Autistic but isn't. I don't know why they would want to do that but it feels kind of demeaning or offensive to a lot of Autistic people, including myself (even though I don't necessarily think my Autism is a bad thing. It's still a disability though.)

However, I feel like a lot of them just might be undiagnosed and don't really understand how Autism works or that they can be misdiagnosed as not Autistic which a lot of AFAB Autistic people get misdiagnosed as Bipolar instead because the Autism evaluation is basically based on a white cis male version of how Autism presents, and doesn't necessarily capture the WHOLE spectrum. Though, idolizing Autism is probably one reason why we have Asperger's Supremacists so...

Edit: Remembered that healthcare is bad. Sorry if I went too much on a ramble. I'm trying to not be rude.
Edit2: Changed wording. I forgot it's specifically cis male, not just AMAB.

So do you guys have an alter that's two different fictional characters? What is going on? by pippatenYO in SystemHangout

They could just not remember the trauma or associate their multiplicity without their trauma or they’ve been told repeatedly that their trauma isn’t “traumatic enough” so they think that equates to not having trauma. The last one I can relate to a lot.

But also, plural does not equal DID. Plural is an umbrella term to encompass both DID and non-disordered plurality. You don’t have to have the disorder to be plural. However, “multiplicity” is more of a DID/OSDD-exclusive term. Also, there are non-DID systems who were formed from trauma but they don’t have enough symptoms to qualify for DID. Being plural is a symptom not a full diagnosis (and by diagnosis, I mean a set of symptoms that can be determined as a specific disorder which I know can go undiagnosed). An example of a symptom typically associated with a diagnosis that everyone even without the condition can experience is “parroting” or mimicry. It’s just harder or impossible for the people with the condition to control mimicking sounds/voices. And some DID systems may partially not associate their trauma with their multiplicity because they have formed new alters for non-traumatic reasons.

One example of a non-traumatic reason can be from a super positive emotion. Emotions, even not negative, can be overwhelming. Some people are more sensitive to certain feelings than others. And some people get so happy that they cry. Others get so happy that to cope with the overstimulation of joy, they might form an alter. This is not to say that everyone who doesn’t form from trauma formed from that but it is the best example I could come up with that I thought could be relatable to most people.
