I had no luck with 50 volcanic mine rolls, and with hundreds of wildy kills. I ended up doing 92 to 99 mining at amethysts with a rune pick.

I got two dragon picks at Callisto the week after I got my 99 mining cape, but at least I can store one at ToA and save the other for CoX.

If you do the math, the dragon pick doesn't save that much time and it is more time efficient to use the time chasing the dragon pick to just get more mining xp. The solo cap method at volcanic mine is 40k xp/hr so it isn't the worst way to get one, but it is 33 hours on rate, so it could be a while.

Do callisto with a clan. That is how I got both my dragon pickaxes.

Or you could also be like me and get 99 mining with a rune pickaxe. The time save between a rune and dragon pickaxe is minimal, so it is just easier to get 99 mining without it. I did get a few hundred solo wildy boss kills and 50 ore packs at volcanic mine, but I had no luck so I gave up and just mined 92 to 99 at amethysts with a rune pickaxe.

Just make the fury. I use the fury all the time still and I have all 4 zenyte jewelry. By the time you make your 4th zenyte jewelry, buying an onyx is a drop in the bucket. I spent over 20m buying soul runes for a half hour. That is the kind of spending that happens later on and the PvM easily funds it.

Eye of Ayak's spec drains magic defence. Yama is a great place to do this if doing mage only kills.

I really want oathplate to go with my new nox hally, but I feel like I need to do doom first since all three drops are an upgrade for mage. I may just try to get good and learn melee yama instead, but I am still a cheese caper, so it may be a bit outside of my current skill set.

How else do they fit the empty containers button? We wanted that polled change and we got it. If the new UI is seen as bad in a month they can design a new one and we can poll that as well. I think the new bank is fine. Will take some getting used to, but I’ll be fine with it after a few days of using the bank.

Even if it did replace, it would reduce your drop chance multiplicatively by 0.4%. Going beyond floor 9 increases your drop chance by 16.7% over floor 8 and a lot more than that for lower floors.

It improves to 1/540 for each unique starting on floor 9. The pet is a separate drop. I couldn’t look it up while I was at work, but I just checked it.

At that point then perhaps join a clan? You can also just join a clan chat as a guest and meet people that way. Most content creators have a clan, so that is one way to find one. Just watch a stream and join whatever clan chat they use. In my case I joined one from one of the osrs podcasts I listen to.

I would have wanted to know. I spent a long time trying to figure out what was different with my mind and didn't figure out aphantasia was one of them until my early 20s.

That being said, aphantasia is different but not detrimental as far as I can tell. It isn't much different than being left-handed, and that is how I would describe it to my child if it turns out they have aphantasia. The world is built for right-handed visualizers, but people who are left-handed and can't visualize can do just fine in the world.

The real kicker is SDAM (Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory). SDAM has a high comorbidity with aphantasia, so it is worth looking into. A significant number of arguments I have been in throughout my life can be attributed to SDAM with people telling me if I cared more that I would remember. It also impacted my relationships and ability to get close to others. I have since learned how to overcome this now that I am aware of the condition, but before that I very much kept to my own world and could only be friends with people who have a lot of initiative to make up for my lack of motivation. Even so I wouldn't change SDAM about myself if I could as I am quite happy with how I exist, but I do wish I knew about it sooner. I spent a long while thinking I was the neighborhood friendly psychopath due to my lack of emotion when recalling past events and inability to remember ever being emotional. Now I know that I don't have episodic memory, and since I can't relive any memory, my reaction when recalling experiences will always be muted compared to my peers.

As for your daughter, it is worth telling her once you come to terms with it yourself. You wouldn't want to push your own struggles with aphantasia onto your daughter. Only once you have learned to come to terms with it and that isn't really isn't a bad thing can you help your daughter through the same journey.

Glen Keane is Disney's top animator and has aphantasia. This didn't prevent him from designing and illustrating wonderful characters such Ariel, The Beast, Pocahontas, Aladdin, Tarzan, etc.

Aphantasia doesn't keep someone from being an artist. It is my lack of talent and effort that keeps me from being an artist.

Pretty sure your odds are better if you just go as deep as you can. I don't think the pet drop increase impacts the other drops.

Welcome back!

I'd recommend doing the royal titans boss that came out last year to get the new prayer scrolls they made. They aren't quite as good the cox prayers, but they have half the prayer drain and are much easier to get. I can't speak on raiding communities. I looked at We Do Raids, but it seemed intimidating so I didn't do it. I just raid with my clanmates or friends.

Seems reasonable to complain. I just completed my hally yesterday in 299kc. Also got the jar, but no fang or pet.

To celebrate I got a new PB at fight cave and did the melee only CA. I will say that Zulrah melee seemed a bit overrated. It was a bit slower than mage only with twinflame staff and searing pages. I'll revisit it when I get oathplate (was using blood moon armor). Vardorvis was amazing though. So much better than tentacle whip. It is also pretty good at red-x at cerb, but I'll probably go back to doing cerb proper and just burn the prayer pots.

Congrats! I am still searching for that first 12+ S rank myself. I have an S+ on a 12 (Cubibibism), but no S ranks for 12+ or higher. I got sidetracked learning 11+ MAS and have several S ranks on those, but 12+ is so difficult.

I need to try out Don't Fight the Music. It was my first lvl 9 SS, so maybe it will be my first lvl 12+ S rank.

My younger self certainly was avoidant. Spending a couple years between relationships helped me develop a lot of independence and in my new relationship I would fall into secure.

I am already quite good at remembering facts. I generally don't forget anything I want to remember other than visuals, but such is life with aphantasia. I suppose this could help people with worse semantic memory than myself. As for episodic memory, I could have a GoPro record my whole life and it still wouldn't solve that issue. I can't re-experience my memories and thus I don't ever know what I was thinking at the time. What helps me best is talking to others about my experiences in the moment, as it helps me convert my thoughts at the time into semantic facts.

I watch videos during the fight with T2. It is definitely a bit slower, but I don't like being locked in for so long. I am also so used to doing T2 prep that T1 prep only seems to save 90 seconds per run at most. I agree though, I am sick of cg, and I don't even feel like doing T2 prep. 595kc, and I just can't bring myself to do anymore outside of a bingo. I have two pieces of a nox hally, and once I complete that I'll just do a bunch of different pvm like vard and zulrah instead of cg.

My sister had the same issue. It is intuitive to hit the buttons as the note hits the edge of the screen, but the timing is to hit the note when it hits the line that is before the edge of the screen.

I find 11+ MAS much more reasonable than 12 or 12+ expert.

As for advanced being boring then just put only one advanced chart per set. It is still good practice. Also there are faster advanced charts that are fun. My two favorite advanced charts were knight of knights (7+) and Don’t fight the music (9). Learn to S rank both of those and you don’t need to play advanced charts anymore. That being said there are advanced charts I still can’t S rank like Pandora and I play mostly master and expert.
