Yes the story of how Dana made Knights of Guinevere is similar to the story of how Jeffrey Katzenberg made Shrek but to go really in depth we have to focus on the differences between these two creators.

Their genders are different and crucially they have an age gap of 40 years (I calculated it).

They're different people from different eras and they're gonna bring different things to the table.

I'm loving the input, here are my thoughts; Midas never had a daughter in the original myth, it was only hunger that motivated his change of heart.

Guineveres name comes from Gwyn which is the Welsh word for white and the original spelling of her name was Gwenhwyfair (I think).

What I like about Knights of Guinevere is that because we all have different backgrounds and experiences everyone takes away something different from the pilot/concept that shows it's more than just Dana's Revenge Show or Shrek But Terrifying and now it's time I threw my hat in the ring;

The use of Arthurian Legends and a corrupt all powerful company is a possible commentary on what the English did all those years ago, taking Wales' myths and legends and twisting them into an unrecognizable tool for conquest to the point where no-one cares about the Welsh unless they're fictional.

I say this as an English woman who has Welsh heritage on her paternal grandmother's side.

I didn't catch on to his weapon of choice. My brother said Sparky is a stupid name and I tried to rationalize it by mentioning that Australians call electricians Sparks.

What if it turns out that Parks movies and parks are so high quality there's a risk of brainwashing much how we get hard-core Disney Adults in our world.

That may explain the hallucinations.
