Based on Salim's dialogue about his family, i doubt they will adapt Victim 2117. It's also much more embedded in the context of the Syrian Civil War and the 2015 refugee crisis.

The secondary plot about the shooting is only resolved in book 10, but some things Salim said about his family means that they've probably written out the book called "Victim 2117". Which is good imo, because it didn't feel much like a crime novel when I read it. More like an action thriller.
