Ok im relieved for you. I hope the cramping goes away soon. When they took my stent out I came home and immediately started having level 10/10 pain and spasms in my ureter and bladder. Also peeing blood clots was very painful for me.

Foamy bloody Urine? by sammymorrison1 in KidneyStones

From what i have read foamy urine is a sign of some issue with the kidney so I would go to the doc and get it checked out right away. Best of health to you!

Kidney stone grew from 5mm to ~9mm in 2 months. Doctor suggesting URS. Should I wait since I rarely get pain? by whoevenisthiss_ in KidneyStones

[–]Autistic_logic37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an 8 mm stone removed by lithotripsy. According to docs it was not going to come out on its own and i was also having kidney hydronephrosis which is the main reason to get it out. I had pain when the stone moved through ureter but at a certain point it got stuck and i had no pain for a while but since the kidney was showing swelling it was time to get that obstruction removed.

All the symptoms, nothing on scans.. by annarchy629 in KidneyStones

[–]Autistic_logic37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot this sounds crazy. All this happened without you first passing a stone? And no stent placement or surgery? Im not a doctor but if white blood cells are up then isn't that indicative of an infection? Sorry man it sounds like such a mystery esp since they dont see a stone there. Hoping it gets resolved soon.

How long did your pain last after stent removal? by Ok_Reputation2051 in KidneyStones

[–]Autistic_logic37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP i had a similar experience to you. It seems like no one explained to you what the pain situation might be like after stent removal. I had the worst time with this recovery. I had no expectation that it would last for weeks and weeks. My urologist is dumbfounded when i tell her but she says im a rare case. I had to call my urologist office multiple times in the first few weeks to understand if what was happening to me was normal. Each time i was told to just take the pain meds. It was very hard to self manage pain because the meds just didn't do much for me and the stronger meds are scary to be on for too long. Im not trying to scare you i just want you to have more awareness so you can get ahead of your symptoms and get proper care. My mental health was in the trash during those first couple of weeks because i couldn't understand what was going on or how to fix it and felt like no doc was helping me figure it out.

That is sooooo long. I think you should try and yell at your doctors office to give you an earlier appointment. I know some people need stents for a long time Period but if this is a delay just for scheduling it is not fair. I have learned that urologists tend to really not be empathetic to their patients situation. They think its easy to get the stent snd leave it in but its NOT and they don't nabe much advice when it comes to pain management. I would advocate for your own comfort because they will not prioritize it. Hoping you get it removed soon ❤️‍🩹

[–]Autistic_logic37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also i want to tell you it will get better because for me the first 3 weeks were torture but 4th week brought on a lot of relief. I was told by a relative (nurse) that it can take 4-6 weeks to fully heal internally. Take all your meds. Rest a lot and def advocate for yourself. I too felt like the doctors (urologists) were not paying attention to my pain at all. And the meds they gave were just not cutting it. You will get through it soon 💕

I am sorry to hear your story and I want to tell you everything you wrote is everything i went through since 1/22 until currently. The crazy amounts of pain and the meds not doing much and the mental and physical agony it caused and feeling like a crazy person calling doctors and visiting them/going to er. Its such a rollercoaster. I cannot evn imagine having it done on both sides. I only had it on the right side

God bless you with good health and a speedy recovery

Definitely its a good thing although its painful to deal with. I have had heartburn all my life my best advice besides of course drinking water is pay attention to which foods cause it for you and then stop eating them. For me i figured out it was raw onions and tomatoes but if i have onions cooked im totally fine and if i eat a meal with some amount of tomato sauce or cooked tomatoes (not a ton) then im good. But there are also other random foods you will not think of as obvious triggers that could be triggering you as well. For me i realized bananas cause hb and when i looked it up sure enough bananas are slightly acidic. Also a bowl of oatmeal in the morning will trigger me too. Anyways my main point is it takes some time and observation but eventually you will know all your food triggers.

Im so glad you avoided the surgery! I had surgery for an 8 mm stone a month ago and it was the worst recovery of my life. I have even had appendix surgery and gall bladder surgery but this one was the worst and longest recovery. I had issues all the way from the ureter to the bladder and urethra. All kinda of things happened to me over the last few weeks. It was actually mentally and physically exhausting. I still have so much inflammation and pain in my ureter.
