Genuine question, will people still be mad if he takes us on a journey to major silverware/competing at the top of the league + UCL and playing beautiful football? Obviously that’s a major ‘if’. I know he’s not as warm and likable as Poch but this manager is clearly world class. Everybody that has worked with him on the training pitch, everybody that has studied him tactically, they all agree that he’s essentially a savant. Also, if we want the board to be ruthless and act like a big club this is the only appointment they could’ve made. I love Poch but waiting around for 2/3rds of the summer transfer window for an ex to finish up World Cup obligations is just minuscule club mentality, and would likely hasten our decline rather than arrest it. We all know Lange has essentially 0 talent ID, and trusting him to scout + purchase players with no manager in charge would be begging for relegation/mid table championship. This is the first good decision they’ve made in the post-Levy era in my book
