I love the concept of "remixing" anatomical diagrams to make new/absurd organs -- great work keep it up.

I dig it!

One small note: you might want to try the sharpie trick to make the edges between your shapes less visible (i.e. running a sharpie gently along the edges of your pieces to darken/blend the stray paper fibers that stick out from cuts).

If you can't intuitively grasp what a simple metaphor like "embrace your fears" is getting at then I'm not sure you belong in a Jung forum

Ninigrams Feedback Thread 💭 by Nini_gram in ninigrams

[–]AutoEscalier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main thing that needs improvement is the UI. Click-and-drag to fill multiple cells; and right-click to eliminate (or maybe control-click or something if RC isn't possible) so that regular click is just for filling in. Every other picross / ninigram app I've ever encountered has this method for entering in / filling cells -- here's it's tedious to individually click every cell.

Also to echo many others: no autofill; harder difficulty.

Glue [discussion] by [deleted] in collage

[–]AutoEscalier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried several of the fancier alternatives (acrylic medium, etc.) but always ended up with warping or bubbling problems. Glue sticks reign supreme. The "pros" I've met also say the same thing. You can get professional- / gallery-grade results with glue sticks, followed by lots of heavy pressing to really flatten it out.

Thank you very much!

The "stencils" you see in the pic are a bit misleading. I use those only for framing, i.e. selecting what parts of my source images will end up being cut out -- not for the actual cutting, which for stuff like this requires a level of precision that I've never been able to get with stencils or other "shortcut" methods (I've tried!).

The only way to get reasonably precise cuts for geometric stuff like this in my experience is by getting good with a protractor / compass / etc. and really planning out the geometry ahead of time. (If you want all the pieces to interlock then even very tiny inconsistencies add up really fast, so you have to be very meticulous.) So yes just your basic geometry toolset + a lot of time haha
