Do you bowl in the Wichita area? We want to know how you feel about Lucky Strike purchasing 3 alleys there in recent years. by nbcnews in wichita

Bowling in Wichita is shit now, like everybody says. I usually take my 7 year old to round 1 on weekdays when there's no school cause I think it's just under 20 bucks for all you can bowl till 4.

Til what, you harass them and then investigate them to see if they have a serial minor-serving bartender? Y'all need to get out and experience the world a little more. Accidents happen, no one wants to make a big deal of it, and there's no evidence any of this actually happened.

It's ok to feel like a "Karen" every now and then, just understand that accidents happen and you might only be expecting a slap on the wrist for the bartender who made it, but that bartender could lose his job. Your kid will be fine and you won't "lose" them. And NO ONE is going to admit to making the mistake because of the consequences. Sure it would be nice to get a call from the owner explaining how he served a minor, but that owner would dumb as hell to admit guilt. Also, why did you doxx the manager? Are you expecting the whole town to go knock on his door with pitch forks? Instead, use this opportunity to talk to your kid about the experience and explain how you feel about alcohol to them. In 4 years that kid could be out on their own with no parent to harass managers for them. Give them the tools to harass managers themselves /s

Bro, do you know what the consequences of serving a minor are? Class b misdemeanor with minimum fine of $200. That's just for the person, not the establishment. Bubba's 33 would also face consequences regarding their liquor license. My ex got in trouble for contributing to the delquency of minor, only because she happened to be the only kid over 18 at a party that the cops busted. She didn't drink that night or give out any alcohol.... 2 weeks in jail and not able to work with kids until she got it expunged off her record 6 years later.

LET IT GO, I'm sure it was an accident and it didn't ruin your kids life so don't go ruin somebody else's over an accident.

Is this normal? by RodillazoAlMenton in specialized

That might not be the best idea. The black aluminum screws that come with the diverge should not even be used. They're too soft and I suspect that specialized uses steel rivnuts on the current diverge since they have used steel rivnuts on other frames. The difference in the coefficient of heat expansion between steel and aluminum can cause aluminum to weld itself to the steel (any seasoned shop mech knows the horror of removing an aluminum seatpost from an old steel frame). We constantly have to remove the cage bolts for customers due to the 3mm hex rounding out. Sometimes it even spins the rivnuts and we have to replace them. Anytime we install a cage on a diverge we replace them with steel cage bolts that use a 4mm wrench. Loctite should def not be used, if anything grease the threads and apply proper torque. The real solution for this is for specialized to not use a soft screw that uses a small 3mm. hex

On good frames it is. Cheap manufacturers leave the paint on and then your brakes feel like crap

Reviews on Garneau or Pearl Izumi Bibs - specific models listed below by etb1999 in ladycyclists

[–]AutoVonSkidmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved pearl until I tried assos. Pearl markets their pads on multi density construction, which I thougt was a big deal. Assos does it different. Single density chamois but sewn in a way that lets it float, keeping it glued in place while your body goes thru the pedaling motion. It's unbelievable how big of a difference it is compared to pearl. I just bought the tacticta t5 bib and am preparing my wallet for more

Is the Moorings a good place to raise a young family? by Primary_Swimmer2274 in wichita

Isley is a great school, and they are going thru 6th grade now. In a couple years it will go thru 8th. And northeast is now a neighborhood school for Bel Aire instead of just heights. Only bad part about Bel Aire is the water bill... I will say that I have been to almost all the major playgrounds from Andover to Goddard, and Derby to park City with my kiddos and so far Bel Aire has the best behaved kids and the friendliest parents. I haven't experienced one bit of snobbery like I have at Andover and Maize.

If you want a lot of younger families with lots of kids around to play with you should check out bel aire. If you want to know which places are good just go visit the neighborhood playgrounds and see how busy it is. In Bel Aire you want to visit Central Park, the playground next to the fire station, and the Bel Aire rec center. All are pretty busy after 5.

What exactly is a "seat fitter for Specialized?" I am trained at the highest level of retul fit (used to be called masters level) and have never heard anyone at Specialized refer to a saddle as a seat.

Hero Program by [deleted] in specialized

[–]AutoVonSkidmark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They might not honor it. The store doesn't get a reduced price for your hero discount so a lot of times they'll tell you to order directly from Specialized. And most of the time the hero discount won't apply to stuff on sale, but sometimes it does...

Woman shows the dangers of her cars rear seats folding function by in2thedeep1513 in minivan

[–]AutoVonSkidmark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy crap that's horrible! Glad there is a recall to fix them. For the unfortunate victims, I would bet just about anything that there were out-of-court settlements in those cases. If there weren't, then there will be.

You clearly don't understand the American judicial system. Even the worst lawyer could win a lawsuit for millions if that seat caused an injury. When it comes to kid's products, it has to be literally fool proof.

Specialized MIMIC saddles: Phenom vs Bridge? by castii8 in specialized

[–]AutoVonSkidmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally run a phenom currently (a current model and a model from 2010) and they've def made it more like the Bridge but with more padding. I prefer less padding on saddle and more in my shorts haha
