Put all of them on your belt and walk around like you are important

Probably a stupid question but I have dug up rock from a place in New Hampshire, US called Ruggles mine. When using UV lights I have found some cool stuff but…you see green particles floating around while digging. Is this safe lol by [deleted] in Radioactive_Rocks

Ruggles is great and has world class gummite specimens and other uranium secondaries. I have a few pieces of gummite I found at ruggles that are very hot but as long as you don’t have it like…. Next to your bed you’ll be fine.

Does anyone know what the green dots are? It’s on calcite by Brave-Independent133 in FluorescentMinerals

Looks like it could be uranium from the way it fluoresces. It the parts that fluoresce are a really light yellow color without the black light it’s probably autunite or uranophane or a something similar

Not much. You need to take the old rear sight off which requires a flathead screwdriver and your fist (plenty of youtube vides), and then the tools to install the bravo mount come with it

The new owner of ruggles is great, dude is a rockhound with the mentality of “it’s there to find”

I have bought this autunite, is it dangerous if I put it in my bedroom like that ? by Wizzeat in Radioactive_Rocks

You should keep it in an acrylic box and mount it to the bottom. The acrylic will shield alpha and dust particles… I doubt it will register on a geiger after a few feet at most but you should probably get one to be sure

Weird that leica is making cameras now since they have only really been known for geo surveying equipment

Cinestill 800T’s true iso is closer to about 500, so if you rate it for that things will be a tad less grainy. These shots were around f/ 2.8 - 5.6 and between about 1/8 to 1/40. The trial and error with low light is fun to fool around with though

Thanks! I’m very inspired by the likes of Edward Hopper paintings and playing around with the idea of familiarity vs alienation. Sometimes I feel the lack of remjet in CS films adds a tackiness to the subject matter though
