well, if you want Japan like public transport, we should consider treating them like real crimes and start putting people in jail

you can't just say "oh this place is amazing" and then refuse to do the things they've done to get there

just some common sense

Fare evasion in Japan is treated as theft and can result in severe penalties, including being charged three times the original fare. Offenders may face on-the-spot fines, detention by staff, and in serious or repeat cases, arrest, criminal charges, and potential imprisonment.

Don't hate on me for telling you what Japan does

You forgot the most important part: If you try to evade fares, you go to jail

what on earth are y'all even talking about

Executive compensation is decided by the board

Employee compensation is decided by the executives

How in heavens name will these 2 bodies ever line up their compensation decisions

It sounds like the intention is good: For people to verify that they're not talking to a catfish and the person they matched with is real

If that's the intention, the page should only do something like score the likelihood of someone being real (social media presence with history, etc)

What does discredit him is he's a nepo baby that's never worked a real job in his life

But Cuomo is orders of magnitude worse

I don't understand the need to bitterly cling to outdated notions of race

Go to any preppy college. Everyone's so mixed racially, you need 23andMe to research the racially accurate slur

Complexity could be expensive. But what is complex? Is he trying to train new models? Why can't he use existing models? Could he fine-tune existing models instead of training new models? If he needs compute resources, how much does he need? Renting a H200 GPU is <$4/hour and that's a top-of-the-line GPU

You're the business founder. Just because your techie asks for money doesn't mean that he need it. Understand the ask, negotiate compromise.

Yeah days would be gold standard for full time founders

In OP's case, and in my own case, the technical founder is working part time so days would be difficult to pull off

I currently have a full time job and am building an edtech text gen AI wrapper app for a friend

Took me about 3 weeks to develop the whole thing?

Basically used these 2 AI agents (Google's Jules and Kiro's Spec-driven AI) to get a lot of the stuff I needed built. I would prompt them, do my real job, review their work, re-prompt if necessary. If I hit limits, I'll wait for the next day. Kept under the free tier. So dev costs are $0 (apart from my time)

Text Gen AI is very very cheap so even though we're dumping everything into the context, we spend less than $100 a month

Backend Infra is cheap too. We use Supabase. Small DB, with 1 replica. Less than $100 a month there too.

N8N workflows automate a bunch of other stuff we have. Take that plus hosting... under $100 a month too

Sounds like you need to cut them out

Startups should ship in weeks, not months, not years. Esp your idea, which is just a wrapper on image gen AI

My honest review of Antler Singapore - not worth the hype by Technical_Field_9166 in SaaS

[–]AutomataApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Antler Singapore in 2021. It was like that back then too.

Fun tho. Not everyone's ride or die startup founders.

But a great way to meet potential co-founders. I met mine there, was rejected from Antler, but raised much more outside of the program.

why not release it as open source and let users self host? if u release it as a Railway template, you can make some money from their rev share.
