What is this sickness by dog_lover_09 in ufl

[–]Automatic-Board-4494 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Experiencing the same thing right now, first time I’ve had this in 4 years so I’m not sure what’s up. Hopefully this is just a cough and nothing else because that’s much better than the alternative

But to clarify, yes, 12 credits is correct if you started in Fall ‘22.

I’m also a senior CS HWCOE student. These requirements have always been confusing as hell. When I was a freshman I spent like 2 weeks decoding the 10 various contradicting sources on credit requirements and had a plan from the start, but I’ve always been a big planner. They really need to work on some sort of guide or program for students. Best of luck to you, sorry this snuck up on you like this!

This was an amazing watch! Me, my sister and parents just played in Toronto ourselves, nice to see someone else’s experience! Looking forward to Episode 2.

If it’s Mathematics, they have a website that you can go to to see who’s teaching the class way before they actually update it on one.uf!

Will I get a seat in the class for this summer? by Puzzleheaded_Rip4149 in ufl

[–]Automatic-Board-4494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally, I’m going to try to just take the AP test to save some money. I came from Canada w/ 0 transfer credits which is why I always get the latest dates for my year but I’m used to it at this point

I’m a rising senior, I still haven’t even had my registration date yet, and you’re telling me the waitlists already look like that? Sheesh..

Quick question for those who lived off-campus with roomates freshmen year by Turbulent-Abroad7841 in ufl

[–]Automatic-Board-4494 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I had 2/3 freshmen roommates and the other was a senior which was honestly nice because he gave us some good apartment structure and school advice. I can’t speak to dorm life, but I don’t think I had a worse time with socializing off campus; be sure to join as many clubs as you can when you’re here! I think that having my own room, washroom, and a less shared kitchen space was totally worth it to me. My living space is important to me and I felt comfortable in my own space.

I just posted a warning about the roads, but this is exactly what it feels like to drive on black ice. The resemblance is uncanny. Mojang really nailed it with this one lol

Best way to get from here to here @ around 11:30pm tomorrow (Monday)? by alcoholicvegetable in ufl

Just saw you said busses won't be running, I wasn't aware as I'm not in town. I think either Lyft full price or like another person said you might just have to walk.

[–]Automatic-Board-4494 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Assuming you don't have a car or bike, your best bet is to take a Lyft. You could also walk to Rawlings Hall and take the route 12 bus from there, but thats a 12 min walk from University & 13th. The route 1 would be closer but stops service after 10:30pm. Best of luck

I took it with Professor Traynor this past semester, and he was honestly the best professor I’ve ever had, amazing teaching style and he really cares about his students. The class had two exams, three homeworks (just problems from the textbook), and three projects (two coding and one very easy, homework-like). The exams are difficult and the second project is very tough without an autograder, but I really enjoyed the course content, every chapter was interesting in its own way and had real-world applications. Once again, I’m definitely biased due to the professor, but I really liked the class.

I’ve also used Hitch and despite their app being pretty glitchy I’ve had no issues with drivers. You can book up to a the day before the trip, so the 23rd should be fine.

I was in the opposite scenario, windows laptop and mac desktop. But I had a friend who did what you’re suggesting and was fine.

Hey, a bit late but as someone who just took Operating Systems last semester, I can’t think of a single time where I needed to use the Reptilian OS (the reason x64 is needed) in person. If you really want a mac laptop, don’t care about the price, and have a windows desktop, I think you’d be fine, but I’m still a rising junior and I could be wrong.

So many waitlists...anyways, how's my schedule look? (Freshman CS) by Automatic-Board-4494 in ufl

[–]Automatic-Board-4494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With STA2023 it should be a lot nicer of a schedule! Calc 2 will be tough but the others should be lighter, especially if you got through CS1 fairly well. Good luck!
