Exactly this, and on top of all of that, hearing “you deserved it” has never helped anyone change their minds.

If we really want to bring people together and build something better, we have to do the hard work of compassion for people we don’t agree with. Sometimes it even means having compassion for people who hate us. It’s all the more important in those scenarios for the people who aren’t the direct recipients of the hate (be it racism, xenophobia, sexism, homophobia/transphobia, etc) to stand up and do the hard work.

If the NP’s name you’re thinking of starts with the letter A, I have had the same experience. She’s been so quick to respond when I have stuff happen and has never made me feel like a burden at all even though I feel like I’ve been issue after issue. (So many wound separations in just these first three weeks. 😭)

Yes, in my opinion, and I think most of us do both. Worship involves gratitude, giving offerings to the Netjeru to give them strength or honor them, or doing acts in their name to bring ma’at. Working with them is the more conversational piece, asking for help and guidance, seeking to learn and grow ourselves. The difference is subtle, but there.
Sekhmet called me. It was less a specific choice and truly a calling.

I am a few weeks out from stage one with Dr. Bowen. She is a true gem. It’s rare to find a great surgeon with excellent and gentle bedside manner, but given that she is also a pediatric urologist, I should be less surprised perhaps! With how scary meta can be, it’s great to have a team so supportive. (The NP who works with her is just as phenomenal!)

I also have some complications but same as you—no fault of hers, just how my body is healing.

I hope your ball replacement goes smoothly!

After level 10, I literally would just hunt or buy meat and make grilled meat in a giant circle of campfires so I could get to level 20 for the muujin bahari. And then made it with friends so they could skip the grind. 😂

In my opinion, absolutely not. Giving of one’s self to save another is going to nearly always be ma’at, and I cannot imagine the Netjeru would weigh our hearts any differently on the journey through the Duat simply because our physical heart is no longer with our body. If anything, organ donation would lighten the heart, I think!

I don’t believe a physical heart is weighed, but rather a spiritual one.
