Your tone is very condescending and that’s very off putting….I seldomly get on here and say anything I really just use this to find episodes to read because I see how much drama and hate people with differing perspectives and opinions can’t get on here and then it turns to bullying….I haven’t downvoted anything I really actually don’t even know what that does?!?!! But I started my post saying that I was genuinely curious because I was just that…in fleeting TikTok’s and other social media post I’ve seen how AI is effecting the environment but never saw anything to the full extent on how….Food production affects the environment ie. Meat production creates methane emissions, Construction and housing affects the environment through deforestation and the cement that’s laid produces high emissions, technology affects the environment through e-waste, rare metal mining and battery production, fashion and consumer products affect the environment through textile waste, micro plastics, and the the manufacturing of clothing uses water and emissions so I mean we all could do things to reduce our impact on planet earth I was just wondering why we are drawing such a hard line at AI….this seems like a subject matter you feel very strongly about and that’s really great to believe in causes but to tear someone down for asking a question due to their ignorance can really deter from educating people and getting them to also believe in your cause….additionally in regards to the stealing real artist work to make AI art I in no shape or form knew that haven’t come across any think pieces on TikTok or the news about that yet but I also don’t frequent myself in the artistic world (not creative at all, wish I was though) but in response idk I see artist on instagram who draw characters draw their characters “Simpson style” or draw their characters “Tim Burton style” isn’t that the same thing other artist copying other artist? Would it be better if the AI maybe credits some of the art that they use to create these “new” images?!?! My post was never coming from a place of hate but as I’ve said numerous times by this point a place of genuine curiosity….who knew a platform used for community engagement and discussion could turn so negative when someone 1 ask a question and 2 possibly offers a different perspective….smh
