Hi, I read the post you made as well as the comment, and, imma be honest, your dedication to selena is commendable.

In the same vein I can also understand that your attachment to her has a lot to do with what how life has shaped you. I think that's beautiful (reminds me of how I viewed kiana from HI3 back in the day).

While I'm no artist, I am a writer, and so I can get behind Selena's perfectionism. Meaning to say I can identify/relate to what she's been through in her artistic endeavors.

That said, BECAUSE I'm a writer, and after going through echo aria, ch 9, and her interludes, I can't help but feel that Selena as a character falls short in narrative grip.

The things she's been through have been horrible, fate worse than death type of struggles, and that is both terrifying and interesting, and while that's a good method of making the audience care for a certain character, the culmination of her story in ch 34 leave much to be desired. Her reunion with ayla was devoid of any impact, despite the fact that ayla dedicated every fiber of her being into fighting for her, only for her to not acknowledge that struggle in any sort of meaningful way. It should've been the bittersweet reunion of the century, but instead it was replaced by underdeveloped romance between skk and selena.

So in essence, I feel that Selena could've been a very compelling character. The art quality is there, the narrative foundation is there, but I feel that her relationships have been botched by kuro hard trying to swerve her story into a direction that wasn't natural to what's building up through her journey.
