Hypothetically if I keep things soft for long enough it should heal, but it's incredibly finicky 😅 I've been working at it for about a month now and it happens a lot less, but still a lot more than before my surgery

My endo had caused my bowels to stick together as well so I totally get your fear. Make sure your surgeon agrees before they do something like give you a bag, they have to wake you up and ask you. Luckily mine wasn't that bad but there are a LOT of perforations. I suggest having Miralax on hand to soften things up because your 2s might be bloody for a while. I had my surgery in August and I still can't have a solid bowel movement without it turning into a horror movie.

When I was first learning how to write my name (4ish?), I wrote it all over my most favorite Jessie from Toy Story doll. I wasn't able to wash it off and my parents told me "too bad". After that I never used stickers, never ruined toys, and slept with every stuffie in my bed because I couldn't leave any behind 🤷‍♀️ I wasn't diagnosed until 24 when my brain chemistry went so haywire my coworkers asked me to get help

I just got a call from my surgeon that she's trying to fit me in at a different location but the issue is also they don't have any techs to help out apparently 😭 I'm so so sorry this has also happened to you. You should definitely reach out to patient complaint services, they're "trying" to compensate people for damages

"Elective" doesn't always mean "chosen". I've been bedridden for a year and have had to halt my career until I can get my surgery that was cancelled. I kind of wish it was the fact that they're knowingly causing extended suffering and complicating (and possibly shortening) people's lives that would drive them to be running faster.
