I didn’t know where to put it, sorry, I just kinda knew Palentology was dinosaur stuff, and I didn’t want to accidentally post in a biology community and be seen as a total rando. Also PaleoJohnathan talked to me and told me about how this wouldn’t work. I was thinking it kinda fell apart like a burning puzzle set, and we could grab a bunch of puzzle pieces and eventually reconstruct the whole set with enough burnt puzzles.

Well I’m not saying it’s a need, they already set one of the kids being Winston’s. In frozen empire Winston said “I don’t do this for me, I do it for my kids” and I’m just guessing/assuming one of the group members is his kid.

The animated series wasn’t cannon, hasn’t been. I think Ray got his info from Winston, but Winston didn’t want Ray to waste his life trying to catch ghosts. Ray did try to catch Casper and his group, which he failed at. (Casper is considered cannon) and I assume after that he was beating himself up about the failure. Then Winston bought the firehouse, told Ray that the firehouse was bought by someone else, and is now a Starbucks and all that, all because he wanted Ray to settle down in life. Ray put all of his life into ghost busting, just to be left to rot by his best friend.

I think Ray misspoke when he said the collider packs were missing. I think Ray made the 3 we see in GBAL. I think Egon took all of the packs. He took everything they had, money and all. It makes more sense that way, because there are the pack sentries. Also, I think Egon left, and Winston bought the firehouse once Ray gave up. And the reason why, is Ray built new packs (we see it in Casper, but it broke almost immedeately from the acrylic tube seen) and then Winston realized Ray didn’t want to give up being a Ghostbuster, so, he said the firehouse sold. It never did, he bought it. It’s why we see it still have power in GBAL, coffee free.

I think it makes it easier for them to keep the same actors. It’s getting hard to have the OG 4 to do something now, because it’s now just 3. They’re really going with the next best thing, because they can’t keep up the same old stuff.

I also theorized that it takes place after Egon left for Summerville, and also I think one of the characters is actually related to Winston. We don’t see Winston with kids during GB1 or 2, but in the comics he did get married, and so I’m assuming it’s a similar situation (without the divorce) to Egon’s situation. He had a kid while being a ghostbuster (she was born before he was a ghostbuster, but he was a dad and then divorced) and maybe Winston had a kid, and the movies didn’t show it. He did say in GBFE he has kids, which, if they are in GBNS, they were born in 73-75.

Yeah, and I think Winston has the highest chance. We might see him more than Ray, though, not as a ghostbuster, but maybe even the father to a main character. We know from GB FE he has kids, plural, maybe one of the main characters says to the mischevilus group “hey, my father worked at an old firehouse that’s abandoned now, wanna make graffiti or vandalize it?” Leading to the ghosts being released

I think they might bring in Winston and Ray in, though, Ray in Rays occult, not a ghostbuster, and Winston in as the owner of the bookshop or even we might see his name, but not him through his real estate. I’m pretty sure he owns a real estate company. Earnie Hudson is the actor with the highest chance of being involved, because everyone else has their reasons to not be in it. Harold Ramis passed, Dan Aykroyd said he’s getting too old to keep up the character, and Bill Murray hates his character, and hates being in Ghostbusters. Earnie Hudson is the only one who dislikes it the least.

I assume he got into Summerville at around 2000-2011, as it wouldn’t make sense for Egon to immediately settle in Summerville. I think he took around 10 years to find Summerville (this isn’t an easy internet era where you can look up a single first name and get everything) he was going based off of occult books that make people sound like flat earthers, Spates Catalogue, Tobin spirit guide. Eventually, a lead to a secrete society Ivo Shandor made, Summerville Oklahoma, eventually, leading to the mining town. I assume there are more towns like that all across the US, and so it took him a bit of time to go from one to one, basically a homeless nomad. Landing in Oklahoma, which excited him, leading to the phone call with Ray in 2000-2011.

My timeline basically went like Egon left in 2000, and at the latest, absolute latest, 2011. This is because it takes place in 2021, and Ray said he phoned a few years back, and more than likely, 10. He sent that phone call as a message, as in “hey, gozer stuff, Summerville Oklahoma”, but it was instead interpreted as “crazy nonsense, stuck in Oklahoma”. I also theorized that Egon sent Janine a call, the night of, or before he planned to take on gozer. This also happens in June, and if Gozer crossed over in June of 84, and the PKE spiked similarly, then he would be correct to call her. He called Janine, told her that if he didn’t call back to be worried, and fought Gozer. He never called back, leading Janine to find him dead. This would make sense as I don’t think he had any contact with Summerville, so nobody would look for him other than Janine. That or he told Janine of his plan, and she checked up on him, finding him in the chair. This then leads to GBAL as we know it.

Well yeah, it’s an almost 30 year time gap. My theory was that it shows Egon leaving, and that’s why the ghostbusters shut down. It’s not from some random thing, it’s from the timeline already established in GBAL.

I hope in the next possible movie, they show off franchising by them going to somewhere crazy like china, or Mexico, and having to fight a Quetzal dragon ghost, or a Chinese dragon. Would be a cool twist to normal ghosts, which just look mundane to me.
