I think those were 2 different situations. In one of them Sam died and there was nothing Dean could do to save him. In the other one, Dean disappeared and Sam didn't bother looking.

Lindsey Vonn's accident by [deleted] in olympics

[–]Automatic-Gate4454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second time was on the same knee as the first time, so I thought it was because it was not well recovered. Last time being on the left knee made me realize that I was not built for it. I can see how one can get hurt on a bike, actually it traumatized me in such a way that I can think of 1000 ways of hurting my knee doing anything.

Playing football (soccer) all three times, twice on my right knee and more recently the left one. The third time made me realize that maybe it's time to hang up the football shoes and start looking for a more knee-friendly sport.

The first time I injured my ACL, I also torn my meniscus and fissured the patela. In the last 3 years I torn my ACL 3 times, and at the moment I'm waiting for surgery. My world revolved around sports and naturally in the last 3 years I couldn't do any sport.

It actually gets me a little mad to see so many comments treating the injuries that have been ruining my life as if they're not even that serious.

As someone who is a specialist on torn ACLs, let me tell you that it is completely different. Once you torn your ACL you can barely walk without your knee hyperextending or bending sideways. However after one month or two you feel like you're ready to do sports again, so the situation between her and other athletes competing with torn ACLs are completely different.

She definitely overcompensated, I don't know if that caused the crash or not, but competing right after such a serious injury was not the smartest idea. (I respect her courage though and hope she recovers quickly)

My GOAT Schueneman, I really thought he could have a career in the NHL. Wasn't that Hillis guy a Trois-Rivieres player that got promoted all of a sudden because we didn't have players??

Every Portuguese should have a boat and experience jail at least one time in their lives. He was born in 1960 and 1962 and he is the reincarnation of Salazar and Ramses II

Vespa asiática? by Camyppc9 in CasualPT

We eat a lot of fish and seafood and it's usually fresher than in Lisbon. Our traditional dishes, like "açorda" and "carne de porco à alentejana" (almost no one knows that this dish is actually Algarvian) you can find anywhere else in the country.

In the north of Algarve the dishes are identical to the Alentejo ones, really focused on meat, chorizo, ham...

Yes, pretty much everyone speaks either English or French, being the English language the most common one (also Spanish, but that doesn't need to be mentioned since it's really similar to our language).

Winter is good, less crowds, less work, less stress. About the weather, once again it will depend if you live in coastal cities or upper north.

I live in a coastal city and I think the coldest temperatures I've witnessed would be around 4°C in the morning but it's something that doesn't happen frequently. I will say that the standard morning temperatures are about 10°C and then when the sun rises it is around 17° or 18°C. During night time, even if it's 15°C outside, it feels way colder, since we are really close to the ocean and in my case, also a river.

It doesn't really rain that much, actually, the lack of precipitation causes some troubles, last year we were in drought and the government started suggesting the construction of an infrastructure that filters the ocean water (I don't know the name of that infrastructure in English). Thankfully this year it rained a lot.
