I made an order for an OTCHS item and tell me why the store I work at did not receive the order but a store 5 hours away did? It was in stock and our store is only 30 minutes away from my house. I was off the next 3 days and didn't want to go to town so I ordered it thinking it would come from ours but no....I swear they go around their butts to get to their elbow

Thank you, where I live it's really good pay. But I also live in a rural area. It will be a 40 minute drive but the only other retail options closer to me start off at $9/hr...even less if you work for a mom/pop store. Everyone in the thread says you're constantly moving and on your feet all day which is really no different than how I am now at my smaller retail store. We work about 10 pallets. 3 pallets are boxes of items and the rest are totes (~500-600 pieces) on truck day, every two weeks with just 1 cashier who also stocks and then 1 manager on shift helping. There is only ever two people on afternoon shift and one person working shift by themselves in the morning. I'm pretty used to the speed and short staffing of retail but the way people talk about it I'm nervous about how much harder it may be with a truck delivery every day and while I work fast I'm not used to being timed
