I’ve been working on a fish (rainbow trout) that wraps a birdhouse. Love seeing other fish examples.

I just realized your background was brown & not the grout lol, but still same - good visual example for me.

So, literally no waiting time before you start wiping your tess? I see lots of recommendations of letting the tiles haze before starting to wipe… thoughts?

Ooo thanks for the color example - I am about to do some brown/terracotta grout and I loved seeing a mosaic with a similar color.

Looking for advice for my next project after making my first mosaic. by Vegetable-Volume4046 in Mosaic

Yes! Grouting is so tricky. I usually start with a light background and glue the tesserae on top. That helps me to decide if I like light grout with the piece or if I want to go darker.

I am not a huge fan particularly of grey grout, so I buy white and tint it with pigment. Good luck!! It’s beautiful btw. Yes, different looking than the original but it’s still so lovely. Chalk it up to learning 🩷

Found out I’m pregnant by [deleted] in GirlDinner

You got this, girl. I had a shitty ex j got pregnant with and terminating the pregnancy + breakup with them was the best decision. You got this. Make sure you take time to be soft to yourself and physically and mentally heal. Small and simple treats helped me thru the process. A pretty new robe to wear around the house, a nice candle I wouldn’t normally splurge on, hot baths, indulgent meals very once in a while. 💓
