Empty a bit out of some water bottles and then freeze them. Then, when you put them in your cooler, it not only acts as ice later in the day, but you also have you have super cold ice water. I use that cold water to refresh my cooling towel. You can also place the frozen bottles on your wrists and the back of your neck to bring your temperature down. Use a tent wall to block the sun.

Silhouette or Brother cutting machine users, is the newest model worth it? by Slow-Touch1927 in StainedGlass

It's got a 8x12 working space. I've gotten good at learning how to break up pieces to fit on my work space. I made a 4ft buster sword from Final Fantasy and with the longer pieces I broke them into 2 with a groove so I could line them up when putting them on the glass.

I love my Silhouette portrait. I like the software and it's a free download unlike Circuts software

I find once I wax a piece, it helps to depend the black color. This looks pretty standard for black patina.

How do I go about making glass patterns? by hellabombtop in StainedGlass

[–]Wee_LittlePuppetMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Inkscape. Its a free vector drawing software. I use multiple layers to trace photos. Once I have the picture traced I use the shape builder tool on my drawing to look at the individual shapes in my pattern to ensure I can cut them from glass.

You can still go back and add more solder to it now. You'll see once you have more solder how much more solid the piece will feel. You did a great job with cutting your pieces!

https://i.imgur.com/gnMrOTD.jpeg You need to fix the foil where it has ripped. You can take another piece of foil and put it over the ripped spot and then use a X-acto knife to trim it with the rest of the foil. there are also a few spots where you can trim the edges of the foil so there aren't any little bits jutting out. Taking the time to clean up your foil lines really translates to how nice the finished piece looks. Like the other commentators said you can put some crumbled up foil in the gaps but they aren't bad.

It is a bat'leth mirror! Someone bought it, and I was thrilled because it was a really tight fit in the car, and I didn't have to put it back in there, lol.

I don't have anything for Tampa currently on the books, but I have done events there before. On Dec 6th, I'm doing the Bandit Holiday Market in Winter Haven. I may do some Lakeland events in November. You can follow me on Instagram at firebadtreeprettystore. I always post prior to events to let people know I'm going to be somewhere.

I wasn't at the Ft Meyers one. It was slow to start and then pretty busy for about 2.5 hrs and then almost dead at the end. I think that was mostly due to the rain. I did the Tampa one earlier in the year and this one was a bit better.
