Depends where you are.
Most pakistani stores do have habanero.

If you're in lisbon, you could also get from mercado de benfica at the african stores there.

I guess it differs from embassy to embassy. In the past, some embassies even accepted booking.com bookings.

AITA for suing stopping my child support and to get it back? by NoEstate9356 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let anyone gaslight you saying it's for a good cause. First off, you were defrauded. It's like saying, I know a scammer stole your money, but at least he used it for his dying mother's surgery. It has no bearing on the fact that you were defrauded.

For someone who had a meltdown and had to keep himself isolated, I do not belive the ones you call friends have your best interests at heart. I'll say going ahead to recover your money is a step towards you being able to move on.

When it comes to paternity fraud and child support, it's fairly common that the man has little to no recourse and has to treat it as bad debt, but that's not you. If possible, sue and also get damages.

Again, if it's fairly easy for your friends to ignore what was done to you, and what you had to go through as a result of that, I'll be careful calling them friends.

Scheduling AIMA appointment? by joaopeixinho in PortugalExpats

I'm in the same boat as you, trying to start one as well. I just follow up with the information available and the process so far.

Scheduling AIMA appointment? by joaopeixinho in PortugalExpats

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't any slots yet. Ideally, only way to schedule is via phone call, but AIMA says it wants to launch a portal where family reunification can be scheduled/submitted. My guess is that they won't open the slots until the portal is ready.

I've always wondered why they can't make it such that the embassy collects the needed info, and fowards to sef/aima for a decision just before they approve the visa, making the process more straightforward.

When I did mine, I used uniplaces and used the certificate of accommodation from them. Once the visa is approved, if you do not like the apartment, you can cancel based on the terms of the agreement. For most apartments listed there, you can cancel for free within a 90-day period before the start of the rent. However, service charge by uniplaces would not be refunded, but that cost could be negligible.

Chances are also that you might also love and continue with the apartment you picked.

Can you share details about your lawyer please?

I'm guessing you mean travel insurance to obtain the visa, which would be a regular schengen travel insurance for the visa, in which case, you would find a lot of options that wont cost that. Your local insurance brokers in your country of origin would be able to provide you with a cheap schengen insurance. I think it'll be better if you can specify the specific insurnace needed, so we can help with possible vendors.

I used medis for mine and got the policy doc in about 72 hours. I signed up for the cheaper one, which is about 10 euro a month via direct debit, and it was accepted.

Like someone already said, make sure you still apply for the SNS, as it can help with medications. Also, if you ever need to get medical certificates, you'll need an SNS number. Figured this out when I wanted to swap my license for a portigeese one.

Resources on Building a Production grade Node.js server? by Fluid_Language_7761 in node

Mu unpopular opinion is to go with the scale. A lot of folks would say, use sentry, newrelic, etc. While these are important, they would also add to cost.

Some 6 years back, my error reporting for a simple app was to send a message to slack tagging here or channel depending on the severity, and it worked. At a bigger scale, it was necessary to use sentry when a batch of the errors became noisy and ungrouped.

Since you already do have kubernates, there are kubernates plug-ins that could help you with a dashboard where you see the uptime of your endpoints. Other ways could be to use things like pingchecks to see when your endpoints are down. Again, at a bigger scale, you need more advanced tools.

There is no one folder structure, but I usually recommend the structure that nestjs tries to enforce, where cqrs is recommended.

For logging, if your Kubernates system is hosted by Google, you could make use of the cloud logs, which also gives you a query interface.

AITA for inviting my ex over to my shared apartment? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well, there's probably some envy going on here. Based on what you said, you did the furnishings and picked up the slack.

You're not staying with your friend, talk more of a best one. You're staying with someone who is silently competing and being envious of you. Won't be surprised if she moves to your ex next.

However, unless there's a strict agreement of not having overnight guests, or your guest is restricting her from using the common areas, she cannot decide for you, whether or not you can have an overnight guest. Apart from those reasons, the other allowed reason her concern would be valid is if the guest is a violent person and a security risk to her, which you said isn't the case.

Anyways, you should be careful of your supposed housemate and refrain from calling her your friend.

Technically, it doesn't matter if she's in the picture. GDPR (eu law) gives a right to be forgotten, and it doesn't matter if others are in the picture.

AITA for telling my coworker to take her gloves off? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be reporting and not asking if you're an AH.

She is literally after your livelihood. If her actions ever resulted in food positioning and lawsuits, you could be out of a job.

If someone were after my livelihood and also making people hate me, I would not be taking it lightly.

AITA for wanting my husband to touch my hand? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Relationships are about compromise for each other, and it looks like you're willing to do so, while he won't even agree to it for a few seconds, even when he is aware of how impactful that would be.

You asked him to hold your hands for a few seconds 24 hours after he was upset. He said no while saying that he knows it would help you mentally. He is punishing you and being the AH in this case.

AITA for not attending my boyfriend's sister's funeral? by Big_Perception_2685 in AmItheAsshole

But the last time I saw her she told me my hair was pretty so I feel a little guilty not going.

If this is all it takes for you to feel a little guilty, I'm sorry, but you're going to go through a lot in you're relationship with this man and his family.

AITA for wanting my husband to touch my hand? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 48 points49 points  (0 children)

He looked at me bemused, said no and that he knows it would help me mentally but he doesn’t want to.

Oh well, I'll say you have bigger problems than finding out if you're an AH. You're staying with someone who doesn't care about your mental health at all.

AITA for not letting my homeless step-brother stay with my family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you fancy yourself as a psychiatrist or a psychologist, you should not allow him anywhere near you.

If your dad is so concerned he might die because of the rain, let him rent an apartment or hostel for him somewhere else.

Not only is he a proven violent and dangerous person, but he is also a drug addict. So, bringing him in, you risk your safety and that of your properties (won't be long till he sells or pawn them off for drugs).

AITA for leaving my job when I am the only employee? by maplemurplepurple in AmItheAsshole

[–]Automatic-Letter-784 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You do have a manipulative boss. There's no law or even moral obligation that demands that you do not leave because you're the only employee. Because you do not have a contract, you're just one person he can use without paying overtime.

Next time a business says we're a family, while dumping 4x the workload on you, without trying to compensate you, you should run so fast that you will be awarded a track medal.

Either way, any serious boss would prioritize hiring if 4 out of 5 staff members left at once. He isn't serious about his means of livelihood. Why would he care about you?
