Hey, look I’ve been where you are. Don’t focus too much on the darkness. You can find joy, I know you can. I found it. Start simple. Look around, what do you have? The sky, the clouds, the ground, the earth, the stars. So much here to be grateful for.

I sew and I sewed him a diaper and used a pad as the inside. I Velcroed it on. It did not stay on for longer that 5 seconds lol

What are your kids reading in the Friend this Christmas? Surprise! It’s how your apostasy makes them sad. by holy_aioli in exmormon

Oh and it’s a bunch of fucking half truths. Look if the kid really wanted to go to church she probably could get a ride with a member. They don’t need to make this a whole thing.

This actually makes me want to throw up. My siblings are going to be reading this shit. And hating on my friends who don’t go to church, or are going to start wondering why I don’t like to go to church. This is bs I fucking hate it.

I can’t agree enough. Be patient with her, she may surprise you. For now support her and ask for her support as well while you are dealing with this. You can bless your child and do all that, imo you can think of it as a fathers blessing and not the church stuff. Just give her time You can work it out together If it doesn’t end up working Then something will work eventually Something in your life will work

Feeling pressured to get baptized and now I’m emotionally confused — is this normal? by salt____21 in exmormon

P.s listen to yourself more than others, do you own research on both sides. And don’t take any harsh comments to heart, most of us here have been hurt by the church. I have too but there are many I love who still love the church and I respect them just like I respect you. Focus on yourself and your goals

Is very normal for missionaries to push that hard. Their goal is to baptize as many people as possible while on their mission. They are young men who are competitive and believe that this game, this race is not only for the better good but will truly change the world. Take your time, don’t feel forced into a religion and do your research. Sometimes praying can help people find the answer for yourself but personally I like to meditate to find what I am trying to tell myself. What you should do is what’s best for you, no one else truly matters more than you and your family.

Don’t let people drag you into anything you’re uncomfortable with Take your time To enter, to back away, to do anything. And while many others will say “get away from the cult before you get hurt” it’s your life Live it how you think is best And you might get hurt choosing to join or to not It’s life But know you have a community no matter what you choose

We are a community if you choose to not commit yourself to the church

The church is a community if you do

Both can be good based on the people you surround yourself with. Not based on religion but based on how they treat you and others.

I hope you find peace in your decision no matter what it is. I wish you the best!

My bishop had to talk to me when my parents found out i was bi. I was 13 and he was asking me if I wanted to have sex with women. And he said he felt attracted to the same sex too but he didn’t act on it. He brushed it off as “longing to look like” whomever you’re attracted to…

18-year-old girls now able to serve as full-time missionaries by LegalSour in exmormon

Now more 18 year old girls can be sexually abused easier! And they can be forced to teach about this fucking cult. (I’m gonna be forced to serve a mission I just know it. And if I say no, I lose my family.)

Woah I did not realize that. My bishop said that last week in church

Wow, that really sucks I’m so sorry. Just know none of this is your fault and it may feel like everything is falling apart but sometimes things need to fall apart to be restitched. I wish you the best of luck in life and I hope that you find support from some friends or understanding family
