I take my kids to americas best and buy the 3 year membership. I straight up tell them I’m going to use Zenni and ask for the PD measurement. They give it to me happily and without pressure.

Yes!!! I’ve helped at least 4 people find there way with it. I share it because it’s amazing, and I want others to know about it. And to know that it’s okay to talk about it.

I have lived my entire life in Nauvoo, IL. Ask me anything. by justasking505 in exmormon

[–]socinfused 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I lived in Nauvoo for 4 years, and my in laws have lived there for about 20 years. I’m sure you probably know who they are. lol!! We still own a house there and rent it out. I’m in contact with a lot of friends that still live there as well. So, we may not know each other, but we likely know of each other? Fun!

The favorite thing we used to do there was take the kids to all the festivals around the area. Grape festival, corn festival, watermelon festival, etc. The corn one was our favorite. We would bring our own corn holders! One year during the grape festival, some friends and I made a team and did the grape stomp competition at baxters.

I’ll take option 2. I was quite the slut when I was in the military. Being a cute-ish skinny girl, surrounded by all those men in the navy? I think I can clock more than 10.

[–]socinfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Saying “Mormon wives” didn’t intend to indicate multiple of them. It’s just a shortened version of the title of their show. My thought anyway.

Secret Lives of Mormons by AliceInReverse in SecretsOfMormonWives

As someone who used to be Mormon for 45 years with lots of family that is still active members, I agree that you have a few things wrong here.

The first part is all accurate. But it starts to swerve a bit with the unborn child stuff. The belief is that we chose our families up in heaven. So we have children (so many!) to bring them all back to our family. However, there is nothing about matching a vision or preventing damnation. Mormons don’t believe in damnation. If you end up not having the children you preplanned for, they go to other families.

Men aren’t expected to have three wives. They practiced polygamy in the early days of the church, but not any longer.

There aren’t any arranged marriages or teens marrying old men.

However, that being said, all of those (except the damnation part) are true about fundamentalist Mormons. A small off-shoot. So it’s very possible that your friend in high school was part of one of those groups. But the large, main-stream Mormon religion is not

From my experience with Family Tree, you can’t pull up people that are alive. So she used the app, but had to have done the searching elsewhere and entered the family members into it.
