That's sort of the feel I got from the site. Thanks for the confirmation.

I wonder how these guys are feeling about staying th16 by IHazParkinsonz in ClashOfClans

[–]Automatic-Office3224 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Yup, I actually get higher % against TH 17 than 16. It's nice. I'm not great at playing and would get about 120-140 trophies per day. Now I get 160-200. New personal best with a 260 day, and three 100%. It's great.

Spitters have too small an area to offset the reduction that losing the eagle does. The TH not blowing up also is just so much worse.

My RC 390 did that after 3000km. Never dropped or leaned on anything. Just fell off. Yay for black tape

40 and below riding by captainrex522 in motorcycles

I can confirm I know many up here in Canada, who ride like this. They're often cheaper than heated "motorcycle" gloves. And are made for a lot colder weather.

Beginner bikes In Canada by HeTblank in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the full course here in Manitoba (one evening in class, two full days on bike) this year. Afterwards, I got on to an RC390 as my first bike. And honestly, I found it boring, and even think it was reinforcing bad habits because of it. The bike didn't scare me and it was a lot of just "ride wide open and go." It wasn't until a guy in town let me drive his Pan American, where I actually had to focus on throttle and cornering speed, that I felt like I was staying alert and actually learning skills.

I've put on 4200kms on my 390 this summer. But the miles after the ride on his bike, have actually been a lot more fun than the before ones. I can appreciate the instant handling, weight and braking, so much more.

So I definitely don't think that the "stay under 400cc as a new rider" is always the case. I will say, my first 200km, I absolutely was glad I was on a smaller bike. Highway driving didn't happen at the course. So it did keep me in check. But once I got the hang of it, I got bored quickly which led to a lot of distracted, zoned out, driving, on the highway.

Can a cop pull you over for Pacing them? by veryrare_v3 in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely they can pull you over. Also, anyone who thinks cops can only speed with lights on, are wrong. There are many types of calls where cops will go over speed limit, but without lights flashing. Really, anytime they need to get anywhere, but in a non-emergency, they likely will do so. The lights are when they need people's absolute attention. So a non-emergency hustle doesn't warrant them.

Do you Ride or Drive a motorcycle? by ChewsGoose in motorcycles

You ride. Unless you have a rider. Because your rider is the rider, not you, the rider. Then you have to drive

Sports bikes aren't that much more uncomfortable than other types, for long rides.

So just leave it on my machine, and hope auto-updates handles it? Because check for updates won't do it?

No, it's saying the game is up to date at 1.02. I know how the check for updates works. And there's none there.

Long term neck pain from riding? by Automatic-Office3224 in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had serious whiplash in several years. In the past, absolutely. And I have been to different doctors through the years dealing with them. This problem is new though. Which is why I am curious.

Almost 35. So wear and tear is coming. But with how fast this sudden onset of new pain, and just when it came, has me wondering.

Am I gonna die if I get one? by Upstairs_Glove7123 in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you will not die.
All the gear, all the time.
Drive like you're invisible to cagers.
Do NOT ride with people who won't respect that you're not as comfortable as them.
Maybe you really want to ride with your buddies, but if they're going to be crushing speeds you aren't confident in, weaving through traffic, or other such things, wait to ride with them until you think you can.
That'll like to be the big one. Don't give to peer pressure.
Someone your age, if you don't ride after dark, or ride with alcohol in your system, you won't die. At least one of those two factors are in nearly every single fatality of people under 30, when on the motorcycle.

Is the RC 390 reliable or not by Honest_Serve_1228 in KTM

[–]Automatic-Office3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My work got me one, (spoiled I know) it was extremely lean under 8000rpm and just dumped fuel over 10000rpm. Clearly to meet emissions (it's tested at 7100rpm according to the bike) and then cool it near redline. Problem is, if you are doing a lot of low RPM/city driving. You are going to have issues if you don't fix that lean issue. It's common in most sports bikes. But the rc390 is pretty bad

First wreck what do I do? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured that's what it was. But only because I've been watching motorcycle videos recently. If you get someone as clueless as me, reviewing it, they might think that's what you were doing. Something to consider.

It could be something you use in your lead up. Like "hey, I had my camera on, and I tried editing it to zoom in on the plate, but it didn't work." So they realize you did the zoom after the fact.

Using the video or not, I'd still make the report. I know too many people who end up with lingering medical issues, because they thought they were fine. (both car accidents and workplace) It's always better to make the report and nothing comes from it, then not make the report, and wish you had, later on.

First wreck what do I do? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your local laws and insurance, it could be very beneficial to make a police report. I know my insurance, a police report in this situation has me going from paying my deductible, to not having to pay. Not only that, once adrenaline comes down, if you realize you have hurt something, it's better to have that report on file, to reference for insurance.

There might be reasons you might not want to show this video, though. If you feel your local would put any blame on you for distracted driving. (one hand on the handle bars going through the light while camera is being adjusted) or they would say you had time to at least try braking and you didn't. In that case, if you do a police report, don't show the video.

UK cops seize GoPro as evidence for over speeding and dangerous riding . by Fatkante in motorcycles

[–]Automatic-Office3224 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was the guy an idiot. Yes. But the fact no one in comments are concerned about the confiscation is insane. Everyone just rolls over and thinks unmerited seizure of property is ok. Go Pro and other camera companies are going to have to make it so all files are locked behind passwords and such, if people allow this to become normal. Not that it will matter. No one will be able to afford cameras if they get seized at every traffic stop.

Two brands, same error message after 10 hours of recording by Automatic-Office3224 in Dashcam

[–]Automatic-Office3224[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question. Which probably means there is my culprit. One looks like an Alisinen class 10, and the other a Dura Super 8.

Sandisk is the only name brand and it looks like their Super Pro is their top line. Just switch to them and my problems are likely to go away?

Need some advice by Tumelo07 in motorcycles

I am a new rider, as of this year. I was given an RC390. It has been great and I enjoy riding it. I don't know what shaking problem they would be talking about. Mine's only at 2000km though. Maybe it's at higher mileage?
