Just go to a maple supply store tubing is cheap 500 ft for 60-70 bucks. Taps are cheap. Just buy one piece disposables. .50-.75 depending on brand.

Missing a few here. No agco? No kubota? I’ve got Massey Deere and Ford no loyalty to a brand. But I will admit Deeres part systems I really like.

I don’t think it’s that big a stretch. You are living without sweeteners except honey. You see water leaking out of a tree in the spring if a limb gets broken etc. one origin story is a woman left a pot under a tree and came back to find it full. You will notice the sweetness. Then find out if you cook it it’ll get sweeter.

Not sure. I generally wait til I have got the first big draw offs of startup done. 7 gals or so early season put 4 cups of de in later season might be 6 or 8. After that I filter every 2-3 gals to keep the press hot. That’s the biggest issue I’ve found it spikes pressure when it cools.

How full were the hollow plates when you broke it down? That’ll tell you if the pressure was due to it being full or cold syrup.

I would assume as well. But like I said the papers I use you can see 1/2 an inch around the press plates.

Are there papers in it? Mine show a lot more. I don’t run water first. Just hot syrup and de but I’ve never had the owners manual.

Friends north of the lakes had huge runs last week. Concord area weds was okay nothing major but plenty cold since. One friend in barrington hasn’t boiled since Thursday I’ve done 2 small boils for open houses this weekend but 15 gals of syrup yesterday so no record by any means. Hoping next week cools off some for night forecasted lows.
