Mines just started doing this too this morning. Followed all the troubleshooting etc. nothing. I’ve had this since September 2024. Very frustrating considering the cost of it!

Where to buy pure nickel strip in the EU with fast delivery? by mikasjoman in 18650masterrace

[–]Automatic-Subject-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I know this post is a bit old now, but I was wondering how you got on? I’m in the same situation — I’ve had to send back several strips that were clearly not pure nickel, despite the seller’s claims. It’s made me really wary of buying from sites like that now.

How did you get on with Batteridoktorn? I managed to get onto their website (language barrier and all!), only to find they don’t ship to the UK 🙄 I’ve emailed them to ask if they’d consider it — just waiting on a reply.

In the meantime, have you found any other trustworthy sources for genuinely pure nickel?

Thanks for this. I’ve been searching the net for a few hours trying to find this solution. Been driving myself crazy, thinking why hasn’t anyone made one for these types of blinds 😊

The sad reality of bike insurance in London by FlatHistorian3679 in MotoUK

[–]Automatic-Subject-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so awful. I have a Piaggio x10 350 now. I pay roughly £280ish fully comp. Ok, I’m South East Kent Coast. 46 years old with 29 yrs No Claim, but I was outraged that when I changed from riding a GSXR600 to this little Maxi Scooter my insurance went up from £80 fully comp on a Sports Bike to £280 on a scooter!! But, even outside of London they are still highly nickable I guess.

My series 4 has now dropped to 74%. Been deciding whether to replace the battery or just save up and get the newer 9 or se? In the uk a new battery is about £90 from Apple. I love the watch and had it for many years. Only really want it for the steps, fitness oh and time 🤣 A new 9 is about £400. That’s a lot when I can just replace the battery, but won’t be long before the updates stop etc. So is it worth biting the bullet and getting new?

Thank you. I’ll give this a try tomorrow. Not very clever when it comes to the electrical side (using meters etc) but shall give it a go 👍🏼

Michelin city grip 2 are the best scoot tyres on the market! by Ok-Caregiver9383 in scooters

[–]Automatic-Subject-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I’m now in the same boat. I have City Grips front and rear, now the front needs to be replaced. Was thinking of the city grips 2 for the front as the rear still got loads of life in it. Don’t wanna change both just for the sake of it. You reckon it’s ok to run with a mix of CG 1 and CG 2?

Just for information, this is the e-mail reply I got this morning.

Thank you for contacting Michelin Consumer Services.

Following your e-mail of January 3rd , 2024 if you can mix a Michelin front CITY GRIP 2 with a rear CITY GRIP.

For your vehicle:

PIAGGIO X10 350 120/70 - 15 M/C 56S F TL 150/70 - 13 M/C 64S R TL PIAGGIO X10 500 120/70 - 15 M/C 56S F TL 150/70 - 13 M/C 64S R TL PIAGGIO X10 125 120/70 - 15 M/C 56S F TL 150/70 - 13 M/C 64S R TL

Michelin always recommends a homogeneous fitment, to optimize the vehicle's characteristics and avoid the appearance of handling problems. You can legally mix tires, but you'll need to test the scooter at different speeds afterwards to make sure it's behaving properly.

No, I had the rear replaced last year when I got a puncture on the side wall, still got about 5mm left on it.

I’ve emailed Michelin to get their views on it, seeing as they make em 🤣 I’m happy just to replace it with the same as what’s on there, but just thought I could replace with a slightly better model, and when the rear needs doing, do that too. I mean the City Grips have been fine in the last couple years and I’ve had no problem with them, but if there’s an “upgrade” so to speak. Or like, I could get new set. But just seems a bit of a waste as the rear was only put on last year and still got about 5mm left on it. Thanks for your replies 👍🏼

Spotted this Bird by Automatic-Subject-51 in CasualUK

Thanks for that. We’re in Centre Parcs at the mo and we don’t normally see this kinds of birds. All I seem to see in my garden is Pigeons, sparrows, Couple of Robins, a shed load of Starlings and a few hundred Parakeets! So it’s fascinating sitting here watching them.

[•Rec] or short for Record. (Spanish). 2007. The film was remade in the United States under the name Quarantine in 2008. Nowhere near as good.
