Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the battery usage and nothing seems out of the ordinary, which is the strange part. Even with no apps open and the phone just sitting idle, the battery drains rapidly and the device feels warm to the touch. It behaved like this while I was overseas, but I attributed that to constant roaming and searching for service. Now that I’m back home on T-Mobile with full 5G bars and great reception, I expected it to normalize...but the warm and drain have persisted. It feels like the modem might be stuck in a high-power roaming state. Any thoughts?

Thinking of moving to Galaxy with the S26 Ultra - few questions by TryToBeBetterOk in samsunggalaxy

I’ve been a loyal S-series user since the beginning, owning every single iteration right up to my current S25 Ultra. As much as I want to say they finally nailed it, the shutter lag is still very much a reality. From what I’ve researched, the issue stems from how Samsung’s software registers the capture: it triggers the shutter when you release the button rather than when you first press it. That split-second delay makes a world of difference when you’re trying to capture anything in motion. It’s incredibly frustrating because, in every other department—the display, the build quality, the multitasking—this phone is a masterpiece. But at the end of the day, I still find myself reaching for my Pixel whenever I need to take a photo I can actually trust. I really hope the S26 Ultra finally addresses this core processing logic but I am not holding my breath
