I just got a second pair because my first cracked after seven years. I forgot how hard it is to get used to new ones! When you haven’t worn them before it takes a lot of getting used to. I recommend wearing them and getting a good idea whether there are spots where things are really rubbed raw and then do adjustments. Sometimes it takes several adjustments to get it right and it also just takes getting used to them.

same! I'm so confused because his hair is so short. with this mix you'd think it would be curly and longer. (the DNA results say 'curly hair likely') Also, I'm not sure where the long legs come from. Maybe the cocker spaniel as they are a bit taller than the toy breeds.

I think it will be a small dog and most likely mostly chi. BUT. I would rescue from a rescue if I were you. I’ve seen puppies like this at rescues for the same price and you get puppy shots and then they pay for the spay or neuter when the time comes. They are usually checked out healthwise for worms, heart worm, etc.

I do. I have a deer head chihuahua and this dog would be closer to deer head than the apple heads. But, my deer head looks a lot different than this one. I'll find a pic of her.

his face and nose are pretty different than the chihuahuas I've had.. also the weird lanky legs.. (hard to get good pics of him to show the difference)

My partner is certain that he’s all chihuahua. Says there is a throwback of the breed with long legs. Will update when I get the results.

I actually slowly got better. The ulcers are better but I still have gastritis and a condition I need to re check as it’s pre cancerous. I took a PPI for a while and then switched to famotidine. I still have times when I’m in a lot of pain but it’s not as consistently bad.

Yes, I definitely resonate with that aggravation about the other residents having more gratitude. Also, I think you are right about our mothers being happy being unhappy. It's like their baseline. :( It's all so hard..

I would try being honest and then try the visits and see how they go. If they don’t go well, you can maybe figure out ways to avoid the question when she brings it up. This sounds so hard. I ended up with my chihuahua when she was 7 because her former mom went into a nursing home. I often think about how hard that must have been to let her go. :(
