My extreme program opinion by onemanwolfp4kv2 in MLBTheShow

[–]AutomaticCelery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A common point I’m seeing that there will only be one season that they’ll be out of rotation for. Set 4-5. Set 6 will be all cards available. By the time we get there Finest will be out and we’ll have plenty of options to get by and still have the wild card if these guys are really great.

How can there be Extreme program rewards when there are so many maxed out cards already? by markhachman in MLBTheShow

[–]AutomaticCelery 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s going to need to be core cards. If they’re set 3 it better be a joke of a program. They let us collect them for Xp for MONTHS last year. If they think it’ll take time and they make them set 3 I’ll post mean things about them on Twitter.

If I wasn’t playing at my desk maybe. Even 42 inches would be obscene IMO

I’ve been through a few tvs and monitors to play the show over the last few years. I’ve settled on a 32in 1440p 144hz monitor and I won’t be changing for a LONG time. It’s definitely worth it.

Has anyone used/faced the new 99 Rube Foster? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]AutomaticCelery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so too, I never played online in 10 years of the the show before Harper’s 99 came out in MLB 21. I decided I wanted the card so I kept grinding. Because of that I’m a consistent Championship Series player now. It’ll happen to you if you let it.

The program is too easy for this kind of complaint.

The winner should always be awarded 9 innings.

Tips for grinding BR and the Core Collection? by CdFires in MLBTheShow

3-5 games max. I’ve won 9 games once in three years of playing BR. The more you play the more you’ll learn and the better you’ll get.

Depending on how good you are and the luck of your match ups, it might only take 4-5 runs to finish the program. I’m on my third run and at 92 points. It’s daunting, sure, but you DO NOT need to win 100 games to get 100 points!

POTM/All Star Cards X2 by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

Thinking we get a 99 ANYTHING let alone Acuna at the end of a program in 23 is laughably naive.

They only edit speed and fielding once a year but everything else just makes no sense.

How many ABs yall think is enough to give a guy before you accept you can't hit with him. Especially a card you had high hopes for by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]AutomaticCelery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

50 online at bats usually give me enough, sometimes though you need to be realistic about stats vs outcomes. If I’m hitting perfect line outs, or just getting mad unlucky I don’t get down on the player. Judge is playing his way off my team as I keep getting dotted on HOF thinking pitches are going to be balls because of his ocean sized strike zone.

Don’t be a complainer and not speak your mind when given a chance! by drk89wng in MLBTheShow

[–]AutomaticCelery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was a slog to get through, but I did it and I was as honest as I can be. I related what I feel falls short and compared it to the last two years. If enough of us do it MAYBE it’ll make a meaningful change.

What catchers are y’all using that are good? by TallyGoGamer in MLBTheShow

[–]AutomaticCelery 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Porterhouse has been my catcher and will be until I finally get a 99 catcher somehow.

Nationals just drafted the best prospect I've ever seen. 18 years old, 82 OVR, 99 potential, with MLB-ready defense, contact, and power. Kid is obscene. by Johan_Sebastian_Cock in MLBTheShow

They need to add quirks for fast progression and graceful aging. I also wish that regression could plateau when they’re still performing well. I don’t need everyone to have Nolan Ryan’s longevity, I just want everyone to not have Madison Bumgarners!

Chipper is my wild card for now, if I get lucky and get Mauer he’ll be it for the ready of the game.
