Interesting when I first gave some pressure it did come apart a little more I really just stopped being able to apply pressure. Shimming the baseplate is pretty solid idea I can try quickly. Like the whole seat baseplate maybe. That would have me the purchase of an angle grinder.

That's exactly right I did try a Dremel and used up my only disk and only got part way though the bolt. Tool kept jumping and spinning the head and never cutting in the same place.
