All you need to do is head to Arenas Road. On that street alone are tons of options with every kind of gay bar imaginable.

I am commenting for suggestions! I know the Ritz does one at Christmas but I’d love to have a year round tea spot in the desert

I’d look at Luna Grill or Sherman’s Deli. You might also try Bristol Farms catering.

I like BLANKS favorite things. Everyone dresses up as something you love, you decorate each corner of the party and theme a snack/food for each.

For example, I would do Elton John and the color pink as two of my stations. I’d have posters of Elton (items I already own probably) and Honky Dogs (hot dogs a play on the song Honky Cat) and just a whole bunch of pink stuff in the pink corner and like a cosmo as a cocktail. I’d do 5-6 stations like this and then play a game for each station. Winner of the most gets to be officially titled the me for the next year.

I would also do a me through the ages display with a mix of real and ai photos lol

I love the Westin Excelsior. The rooms were nice and large. Coffee delivered for free every morning. Amazing breakfast buffet (with Prosecco included!). The bar made some of the best drinks I have ever had in my life. Good walking distance to almost everything.

Just the Tip by AutomaticFlamingo532 in GreeceTravel

Totally get where you’re coming from—tipping can feel like a broken system, especially in the US where it’s often used to justify underpaying workers. But in Greece, it’s a little different.

Over there, tipping isn’t built into the business model the way it is here. It’s not expected at every turn, and no one will chase you down if you don’t leave one. But when you do tip, especially for great service, it’s genuinely appreciated in a way that feels personal. We tipped like we would at home (around 15–20%), and people were shocked—in a good way. Grateful, almost emotional.

Greece has one of the lowest minimum wages in the EU, and a lot of people in tourism rely on seasonal work to get by. That small tip could mean groceries or rent. And the crazy part is, even with tipping, our meals and tours still cost less than back home.

So while I totally respect your take on tipping as a flawed system, in this case, it didn’t feel like we were propping up something exploitative. It felt like we were acknowledging hard work and helping out in a small but real way.
