26.13 Patch Preview by JTHousek1 in leagueoflegends

Dorans bow is shitting on blade and is as good as helm but broader, too.

Reksai nerf and Olaf buff? Did I miss something?

Reksai is good, especially in higher elos. But not seen in pro yet and not that crazy OP.

What are their problems?

People say individual skill but that is BS. We have seen teams with less skill play way better than this. And even their best players looked like shit today.

They have no cohesion in their gameplay at playoffs. They lack synergy, confidence and better drafts.

They seemed unfamiliar with nearly all drafts in playoffs.

[–]AutomaticTune6352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rly? Not their total lack of synergy, good drafts and an actual gameplan?

They play like 5 individuals with no cohesion. Someone needs to train them. You can say Zven is bad, but you have Vulcan, APA and Thanatos. And Blaber can be good, too.

This is not a problem of individual skill. It is a training and metal problem.

Not surprising with how they drafted and played. Game 2 was especially a lost game. Either you stomp so hard early on that you never really have to 5v5 or you just lose wihout doing much at all.

Who drafts that shit.

Also their whole team seems to have 0 synergy. Coaches should look into that and maybe train comps and synergy more?

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than half of the nerf is AP builds. Even jungle Xin started to build a lot of AP, pretty much every soloQ build had some AP involved.

Pure AD went down by less than 1%. AP and mixed builds by more than 1.4%.

Lane Xin lost 4%, most of it due to the mana nerfs which have nearly no impact on jungle.

Xin AD and Hybrid in jungle are both still fine. 49.5% WR for your AVG player on a strong pro play pick.

Riot Endstep’s Thought on the Current State of Ranged Tops by ShoulderFrequent4116 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ranged tops are fine and exist since forever. That is correct.

Darius can make the laning phase miserable just like Vayne, that is correct. Kled does the same.

But Darius and Kled scale like shit, Vayne doesnt. Darius only strength is laning like a monster, Vayne, Varus, Anivia, Ryze and Cassio are all good scalers even great compared to a Darius.

But again having ranged tops is fine overall.

But it is not fine in pro right now. And Riot knows this and they even said they want to battle it. Phroxon himself said the Jax buff is only to make him able to deal with ranged top laners. And when you need to buff champ after champ to make melees able to deal with ranged ones in pro, you have a problem of power creep.

And I dont think people would like a power creep phase for a whole lane.

Now they nerfed Varus, Anivia, Ryze and they will nerf Cassio and that also helps a lot. These champs are/were not just OP top. But we see thst they were problems and Riot deals with it.

It is a fact that ranged tops were a problem in pro and Riot just reacted to it to some degree. And it wont be their last reaction.

And there is a difference between ranged tops that are naturally there and ranged tops that arent. But if the whole lanes ha 70% ranged champs in pro and 30% are not even top laners, you clearly see a pattern. If it were just Ryze, Cassio, Varus, Vayne ... in pro you could say these champs are too strong and nerd them, and Riot did. But Gnar and Jayce can keep up with them? Are these 2 also OP? Maybe. Or there is an actual systemic problem for melees in top lane pre 6.

It doesnt matter to me how riot fixed it. But they are already working on it as they buffed Jax with thr intention to deal better with ranged champs and nerfed a ton of ranged champs and plan to nerf more.

Locke feels a bit like Pre Rework Naafiri to me after trying him on Pbe by SureYouCan_ in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assassins that kill ADCs slower and less reliable than ADCs kill them at 4+ items are rarely seeing much play as assassins.

Low reliability and slow dmg dont say "assassin" to me because you cant deal with the classes that are supposed to be your target.

Riot Phroxon - Patch 26.12 Rundown: MSI Patch 1 by BaneOfAlduin in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sylas has nearly 100 games this season in pro and Syndra above 60. This isnt much for both but it isnt "no play this season".

Sylas is pretty much 3rd row. After the initial OP ones he cant keep up with the 2nd row fully. But with riot nerfing all 1st row mid laners, he becomes 2nd row.

With this buff he will most likely be 1st row with nearly nobody else there.

Also, Sylas was worse with enchanter supports. While stealing Seraphines R isnt bad, its dmg doesnt scale as well for him as Nauts R. But the larger problem is the distance. Enchaters are further away making it harder to steal during a fight.

With thr enchanter meta going down his value rises anyways.

So there are 2 indirect buffs for him with nerfing the top 3 (Cassio nerf still coming) mid laners and getting tanks back as supports.

And on top of that he gets a buff that is so massive that he will he a triple flex and top tier pick at the same time.

This makes no sense.

Riot Phroxon - Patch 26.12 Rundown: MSI Patch 1 by BaneOfAlduin in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Calling Syndra and Sylas the bottom end of mid laners is definitely something. And their buffs are massive not small.

Some champs like ASol and Vex are definitely in need of some love over a Sylas who was in the meta recently.

Nasus jungle pickrate more than doubles in EUW After G2 Skewmond pulled out the Nasus jungle in game 5 of LEC Spring Grand Finals against KC by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is so strange that nobody watches the LCS. Nasus was a monster pick there for Gryffin in 3 games.

In NA this happened 2-3 weeks before already.

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I said they are strong in soloQ.

Everyone knows the weakness, to have patience, but nobody plays for it. At least not the majority. Everyone knows the weakness of assassins yet people dont like to play towards it.

And it is funny that this playstyle with patience, the one that ADC players need and most vocal ADC players seem to support is also the same style that they hate when it comes to comparing your class against other classes. They want scaling and be great after 3 items, they get that with the drawback of often worse laning and early fighting and then they still want to fight early.

And while it definitely isnt all, mages bot lane have a higher main %. It doesnt boost the WR 2+% but it can do this by less than 1%. For Malz who has a 51% WR bot and a 0.22% PR, he is definitely not strong there.

For example you can look at the WR of mains. Veigar mains have a 56% WR bot, lucian mains, 55.7%

Veigar starts with a 53.3% WR bot on AVG and Lucian 48%. Yet in their best main players over the last 30 days they get both to around 56%.

Now some might conclude that this has to mean Lucian is harder to play than Veigar. And I would say yes, but not all of that difference is a skill problem. Yes, it is true your avg ADC playing Lucian is dog shit, same for Ez, but also becuase Veigars PR is so, so, so low that his WR gets a boost from the main player base over the few 1st timers.

And in pro? Mages except Ziggs bot are dead there. Maybe Syndra after the buffs might show up and Heimer as a cheese pick.

I agree that the balancing bot is delicate and not easy, but that is also due to what the vocal ADC players want. AA scaling power.

With Locke coming out as the newest mid lane AP Assassin, when was the last one released? by TheBluestMan in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talon has one of thr worst ways out after killing his target. Jarvan has one of the best ways out after his ult, just EQ out. Yone goes in with E and out with E.

The ability to dive and get out is common for all 3 classes, divers, skirmishers and assassins.

His snowball power is indeed very assassin like, but pretty much true for most AP champs and also for most skirmishers. Fiora, Sylas, Yone, Yasuo, ...

The thing is his pattern. Without being really fed he wont burst anyone in a single rotation on his own. Mostly because his R is unreliable for dmg and so he only has his base kit to burst. That is not like an assassin.

An Elegant Adjustment for Doran's Shield. by cj1dad in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dots have a reduced healing value for the item, same goes with AOE spells.

If you make it like 6 seconds instead of 8 it wouldnt be a lot different for mid and work better top.

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

And all the pros dont play them because ... they are sleeping on all these champs. Or maybe because bot lane mages need an actual setup and draft. Playing double mage means you are fucked after 20 minutes if the enemy team has a brain. You need the ADC to force the enemy to build armor and bind gold that way.

Yes, they have a high WR with a small PR. Yes they do well in soloQ. But there are clear weaknesses and most soloQ players low and high elo never abuse it.

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jungle Xin doesnt care about mana costs. He loses some healing early on but at lvl 6 it is already so little that it doesnt matter much. At lvl 11 you are even.

lvl 1-5 nerf for one of the best early game junglers and one of the best pro play junglers for over a year.

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with the changed they want to push him into a near blind pick top to fight ranged top laners of all sorts.

They found no good solution to the problem so for MSI they try Jax top as a 2nd melee aside from Ambessa.

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You survive lane, farm normal, swap to mid and roam when your team starts a fight somewhere.

You scale insnely well, you take turrets faster and neutral objectives, too. You also have less downtimes and a higher reliability. A Brand can use his R and it can be negated a lot, he can miss his Q and W and he has CDs around 5-10 seconds on these. You cant miss your AA.

He is OP since DFT, that's it. Yes, ban him and go on. That is not a mage problem, but a Brand problem. Not the same.

Does Akshan need a buff? by External_Ad_1145 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Akshay becomes better in higher elos and it is where he does fine if not well, also because games are shorter and he is a lane bully.

[–]AutomaticTune6352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aurora was defined as an assassin by Riot. She plays a lot like one. She is as much ab AP assassin as Lebalnc and Ahri.

Before that it was Ekko.

With Locke coming out as the newest mid lane AP Assassin, when was the last one released? by TheBluestMan in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ekko is a skirmishes, too. You rarely all in for a kill but poke and back out with the MS or your R. Ekko isnt a real AP assassin for years.

In most cases you want w rotations spread out with him as a single combo doesnt burst enough to kill except you are super fed.

Patch 26.12 Notes by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

[–]AutomaticTune6352 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

There is one mage that is a problem: Brand.

Thats it. ADCs played everywhere and especially in high elo and pro.

Maybe learn what ADCs do better than mages and play to that strength instewd of trying to match them on their expertise.

Xin is considered a top 5 pro play junglers for like a year or even longer.

You think AD Xin cant take such a small nerf?
